Cadet world champion Katie Gomez followed up her title in Budapest by taking out double Fargo Champion Shelby Moore in a thrilling 11-10 match. This was a true "Super Match" - Gomez was ranked #1 at 117 lbs and Moore was #1 at 122 lbs. 

Match Summary - Gomez With Too Much Offense

After trading takedowns in the first 2 minutes, Gomez took control of the match with a single leg four 4. Moore responded with a step-out and the score was 6-3 going into the break. 

Gomez continued to pour on her offense with a quick go behind early in the second while Moore responded with another step-out. Despite Gomez’s attacks, Moore showed savvy defense, exposing Gomez for 2 before giving up a reversal making it 9-6. Gomez continued to capitalize on Moore’s shots and scored on another lightning fast go-behind taking a 11-6 lead with just 13 seconds remaining in the match. Shelby Moore continued to fight until the last second throwing a headlock and scoring 4 points as time ran out ending an incredible match by a final score of 11-10.
