Last summer the NCAA permitted all student-athletes the ability to profit off their name, image, and likeness. Since then, we’ve seen numerous wrestlers take advantage of this opportunity through individual brand deals and sponsorships. However, we’re now seeing a new wave of NIL opportunities come to life in the form of NIL Collectives. These collectives are crowd-sourced fundraising businesses set up to benefit student-athletes. For more information on collectives, and which schools have them, we outlined those details in this article.

Notably, “Success With Honor” the collective formed to support Penn State athletes, is leading the way in collectives supporting wrestlers. This collective, with Olympic gold medalist David Taylor on its advisory board, was launched in March and reportedly raised $120,000 in the first week. They are now hosting an autograph signing session on Saturday, April 23 benefitting ten different athletes including Nittany Lion wrestlers Nick Lee, Max Dean, Carter Starocci, and Greg Kerkvliet

According to their subscription page, supporters of “Success With Honor” can donate at six different monthly levels - $10, $25, $50, $100, $250, and $500. In reference to the above event, anyone who gives at $50 or greater will receive autographed memorabilia with the $10 and $25 tiers entered in a raffle for autographed gear. While it hasn't been made public how much each student-athlete is being paid for participating in the autograph signing, it's a great sign for Penn State wrestlers to be included in the collective's first event.
