'Hello everyone,  Alot of information for you regarding the 2024 Franklin County Kahila Moonshine Classic Wrestling Tournament.   Satellite weigh-ins will take place Friday evening from 6-7pm at the following locations: Rural Retreat High School, 321 East Buck Ave Rural Retreat, VA 24368 `It will be in our wrestling room which is under the high school gym. There is a door beside the gym that we will have a sentry there to direct them in.` Roanoke College, Bast Center 310 North Market Street Salem, VA 24153 Roanoke College Wrestling room. Buena Vista Outlaws, 2040 Magnolia Ave Buena Vista, VA 24416 Riverheads Wrestling, 10 Don Hanger Cir Staunton, VA 24401 `Old Elementary At the top of the hill behind the baseball and softball field` And we will have one from 6-8pm at the tournament location: Franklin County High School, Law Gym. 700 Tanyard Road, Rocky Mount, VA 24151 WRESTLERS WEIGH-IN IN A SINGLET! As a reminder, you have to pay online before we reach 450 preregistrations or before 6pm on Friday.  Please pay attention when registering them online to make sure they are in the correct division.  The normal divisions will be listed as `Born 2010-2011` or whatever year is the appropriate year for your wrestler.  It will only show the division that your wrestlers date of birth falls under.  It will also show you girls only divisions.  Please don`t register for girls divisions unless your a girl.  Most of the issues we have had have been with people accidentally registering in the girls division.  If that happens or you need to change your wrestlers weight class, that will need to be done at weigh-ins.  While your wrestler is on the scale, validate with the worker your wrestlers division, weight class, and team. We will adjust the weight class if needed to accommodate the weight.  If you have any issues, please contact me at 540-676-1130 or wrestlertooevents@gmail.com.   We do ask if you do a satellite weigh-in, please be at the tournament by 9:30am to get your skin check completed.  Everyone will do a skin check in the morning before the tournament.   Coaches: We listed on the flyer that coaches get in for free (no spectator fee) as long as they present some sort of coaches card.  It can be from USA Wrestling, AAU, Parks and rec, or whatever.  They do not need a coaches card to coach, they just need it to save a few dollars.   Some people have also had issues with the registration saying its closed.  I have found that those individuals were in a previous years tournament and not in this years tournament.  Here is the link to this years preregistration:  http://www.trackwrestling.com/registration/TW_Register.jsp?tournamentGroupId=233604132 Steven Leftwich 540-676-1130 Wrestlertooevents@gmail.com 2024 FRANKLIN COUNTY KAHILA MOONSHINE CLASSIC SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 3rd, 2024. NO Double Brackets or Walk-ins Pre-register on www.Trackwrestling.com by 6pm Friday, February 2nd, 2024 Must pay registration online. $5 spectator fee at the door. Coaches must present some sort of coaches card for free entry. Limited to 450 registrants. We sold out a day early last year so don`t delay. Only PAID registrations will be counted. If you do not complete the payment process in Trackwrestling, then your registration will not be counted. Weigh-ins: Friday night from 6:00-8:00pm (Law Gym) and Saturday morning from 7:00-8:30am Satellite weigh-in: We will have 4 Satellite Weigh-in locations. More details will follow on Trackwrestling. Matches Start: 10:00am. We will have VHSL Officials. Format: 16 man double elimination brackets. If there are 5 or less participants in a bracket, we will use a round robin bracket to help each wrestler get more matches. I will also open up all information for the preregistrations so you know how many people are registered for your weight class and who you should be competing against. The director reserves the right to combine or alter divisions and weight classes. If there are weight classes next to each other with low participation, we will most likely combine those weights. Awards: Top 3 in each weight class will receive a medal. Team Championship: Each team will have up to 15 scoring wrestlers per team! We will be using Trackwrestlings default scoring format. Special Event Trophies presented to the Top 3 Teams. Coaches, make sure your wrestlers are registered with the correct team please. Contact us if you have questions. Weight classes formed using Madison System. Girls can have a double brackets in the main division for free. Let us know at Weigh-ins if you want a second bracket.
