Houston High School Presents the 2024 ?King of the Mat? Pre-Season Tournament Saturday, November 9th These conditions must be met: Participants must be eligible to wrestle in the upcoming high school season All entries must be submitted via Trackwrestling by 8:00 pm on Wednesday, November 6th Singlets, two-piece singlets, and shirts/shorts are acceptable (if shorts are worn, there must be no pockets) Location: Houston High School 9755 Wolf River Blvd Germantown, TN 38139 Weigh-ins: Coaches will be responsible for inputting their own wrestlers? weights into TrackWrestling (or emailed to me) by 6:00 pm on Friday, November 8th. We will have FOUR divisions (Adv/Nov/Beg/Girls). Contact information is below for any questions on how to submit teams. Times: Hydration tests will be available at 7:00 am on Saturday morning Wrestling begins Saturday between 9:00-9:30 am (as soon as hydration test ends) Divisions: Advanced will be wrestlers that have wrestled a Varsity match. Novice will be wrestlers that have not wrestled a Varsity match. Beginners will be wrestlers who have never wrestled before. If they wrestled youth, they cannot wrestle Beginners. Girls will be any girl participants and can include any high school age group. Cost Per Wrestler: $15.00 (Can be paid in cash or with check made payable to Houston Takedown Club) Admission: $10.00 for spectators at the door (children 9 and under are free) Format: There will be Madison/Block bracketing depending on the weight of the wrestler and the number of entries.
