Just some housekeeping items....
- Those of you bringing girls, please send me a number as to how many you are bringing. I want to give Todd Polly an idea of how many we have.
- We will wrestle in 2 gyms on 6 mats total. Boys Friday, hopefully to the Championship Semis. Then start Saturday morning with the Girls on 4 mats and Consi round on the other 2.
- Weigh ins Friday from 2:00-3:30, start wrestling at 4. The Rec Center closes at 9, so we will wrestle till 9, or to a good stopping point.
- Saturday weigh ins from 7:30-8:30, with wrestling to start at 9. My goal is to be out the door by 4:00, or sooner.
- The tournament is at the NA Rec Center (Activity Center), 100 Riverview Drive, North Augusta, NOT THE HIGH SCHOOL.
- There will be a couple food trucks and a concession stand for parents and spectators. For the coaches, the hospitality room will serve lunch/dinner Friday, and breakfast/lunch on Saturday. I'm limiting the hospitality room to 3 coaches this year, if you have Girls coach, let me know and I'll give you another wrist band. Last year I had teams sending in parents, kids, cousins, etc.
- No team coolers in the gym. I will have tables set up outside the gym in the back. This will be enforced.
- Todd Polly will be the tournament director, he will be sending out some information for registering your kids. So look for that shortly.
- Just to be clear, the Boys weight classes are 106,113,120,126,132,138,144,150,157,165,175,190,215,285. Girls will be 100,105,110,115,120,125,130,135,140,145,155,170,190,235. Since it is so close to Christmas, we will probably get the 2 lb allownace. So scratch +2 total for both days.
- And 1 final note from the Rec Center director. If your wrestlers are caught downstairs in the workout/gym area, or upstairs on the track area, they will be removed from the building. The Rec Center is still open to its members. This has been a problem in the past. And I want to be able to use this facility in the future. Thank you for informing your wrestlers about this.
Thanks
Matt Franklin
