Arcadia Invite Wrestling Tournament December 16th, 2006 A Traditional 8 man bracket wrestling tournament. We Still need one more varsity team to fill to 8 teams... We wish to keep it competitive with middle-level team strength. (all Divisions would be welcome however our goal is to not be dominated by a powerhouse team) Arcadia, Cameron, Durand, Independence, Loyal/Greenwood, Onalaska, Whitehall, Arcadia Red Team? Format would have full wrestle back to 3rd, 5th, and 7th place matches to keep ALL wrestlers going throughout the day (vs. elimination after two losses). ***We can fill empty weight classes with JV kids. I will put this tourney on trackwrestling to have each team enter roster info. And see where the extra kids are needed. This would give all wrestlers 3 and 4 matches on the day. We will wrestle on three mats throughout the day, and feature FINALS by itself on one mat at 5:00pm. 8:45 Weigh-in 9:00 Coaches Meeting 10:15 First Round (3 mats) 11:30 Second Round (3 mats) 1:00 LUNCH BREAK (full concessions, and coaches room lunch would be served) 1:45 Third Round (incl. 7th place on 3 mats) 3:15 Fourth Round (3rd & 5th on 2 mats) 5:00 FINALS (One Mat) -(awards would be given out between weight classes following the next match?s completion) ***Medals through 3rd place. ***Champion and Runner Up Team Trophies My goal is to get back to the traditional chart format, as well as attempt to give as many matches as we can to each individual, to gain experience through competitive matches. ALSO to HIGHLIGHT a `FINALS` on one center mat to draw attention only to that match, without the distraction of other placement matches going on at the same time. This tournament `may` feature many local teams and draw a good crowd that would get more excitement back in the gym.
