DETAILS: Date: Saturday, December 18, 2010 Weigh-ins: 8:00AM ? Weigh-ins are on electronic scale located in the balcony above the locker rooms in the East Wing. MADISON WEST AND LAFOLLETTE wrestled Friday night, so there IS A 1 POUND ALLOWANCE FOR THIS TOURNAMENT. The school will be open at 7:00am for teams wishing to arrive early. Coaches? Mtg.: 8:30 AM (immediately following weigh-ins) ? Room W107B (In west wing ? look for signs). Lunch will be provided for coaches and officials in this room starting during the third round and lasting through the break. SCHEDULE: Round 1: Wrestling will begin as close to 9:30am as possible. Round 2: Immediately following the first round Round 3: Immediately following the second round BREAK: Approximately 30 minutes; after last wrestled match in round 3. Round 4: Immediately following the break Round 5: Immediately following the fourth round Awards: Presented during the fifth round for individual awards. Team awards will follow the conclusion of wrestling. CONCESSIONS: A cash concession stand will be open to serve lunch food and snack items. SEEDING: 1 We are again using TrackWrestling.com to run the Earlybird. This means that team lineup information will be entered online at www.trackwrestling.com. 2 Preliminary line-ups including extras (see below) should be entered online by 9:00PM ON THURSDAY, DECEMBER 17th. The procedure for entering your lineup and extras was emailed to you previously. Contact us if you did not receive this so that we can make arrangements to get it out. 3 If there are openings at any of the weights, we would like to reserve these open spots for wrestlers from teams that would fill in as ?unattached? wrestlers. If you have a senior or a quality wrestler who cannot make your varsity lineup, please enter him as an extra on your lineup according to the procedure sheet. You may also email them to me at logan@watertown.k12.wi.us if you cannot figure out how to enter the extras (please try though). Please also include criteria for your wrestlers (e.g. record, sectional qualifier, etc.) We will contact you by Friday at noon if an opening for your wrestler is available! 4 Based on the information that coaches enter, we will identify the extras at each weight class. If no criteria are included, the wrestler may not be chosen. Extras will be selected based on seniority of the wrestlers, previous varsity experience, and success of the wrestlers considered, while trying to allow everyone who wants to bring an extra the opportunity to do so. If you have a priority list of which kids you want to get in above others on your team, indicate that in the criteria, and we will do our best to accommodate that. 5 Extras are unattached and will not score points for your team, but they may prevent other wrestlers from doing so. Our primary goal is to get as many matches as possible for our kids at this early-season tournament. 6 Again, coaches will be contacted via email by Friday at noon if their extra wrestlers are to be allowed into the tournament. 7 Coaches may make changes to their lineups online until Friday evening at 8:00 pm.
