TO: Wrestling Coaches & Athletic Directors FROM: David T. Pettit, Athletic Director DATE: Saturday, January 26th, 2013 RE: Southern Lake Conference JV Wrestling Meet 1. Format Each team will have one entry for their best JV wrestler in an 8 man bracket for each weight class. Seeds for brackets will be random draw. Any byes will be filled with next best available wrestler. Seeds may be altered to separate wrestlers from same school. Any wrestler not in 8 man bracket will be placed into 4-man round robin, to be assigned the morning of the tournament. 4 man Brackets will be determined by closest weight, level of ability, and school. A. When entering contestants, your top JV wrestler at that weight class will go in to the actual weight group. Your additional wrestlers should be entered into the extra groups based on ability level. For example, Johnny is the best, he is entered in the JV-8 Man group and whatever weight class he/she is in, Timmy is second best, he is entered into JV Round Robin 1 group and the weight class he/she is in and so forth. B. Statisticians will be locked out Friday, January 25th at 10:00AM C. At that time we will attempt to build the brackets from those that are entered. This will help us get wrestling right away on Saturday. 2. Weigh-Ins: 8:30 AM - - - - - - Wrestling starts at 9:30 AM - Weigh-ins will be done by team 3. Ticket Prices (no passes allowed) Adults: $3.00 Students: $2.00 Seniors/Children 6 & Under $1.00 4. Wrestlers are responsible for their own locks and towels. Locker rooms will not be locked. 6. Concessions will be available. 7. No awards are to be given per SLC By-Laws. 8. Coaches Meeting (9:00) and Hospitality will be in Room 122. Coaches will receive lunch ticket. 9.
