We are happy to be hosting the 37th Annual Tanana Invitational Wrestling Tournament on March 2nd & 3rd, 2012. The following information is for your planning purposes: Weight Classes Due to Growth Allowance on 2/1/12 71, 78, 85, 92, 99, 106, 111, 115, 119, 123, 127, 133, 141, 149, 161, 175, 211, and Heavyweight (Max. 276) Weigh-Ins Weigh-ins will start at the following times and all wrestlers need to be present at the beginning of the weigh-ins or will not be allowed to weigh-in. Thursday: 7:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. (scratch weight +1/2 lb) Saturday: 7:30 a.m. (1 1/2 pound allowance) *Thursday weigh-ins are to ensure that wrestling begins Friday promptly at 10:00! This means you must weigh-in on Thursday in order to wrestle in the tournament. Weigh-ins will be in the new gym. Everyone will be weighed in by certified referees and will weigh-in in their singlets. Participants Only students enrolled at your school are allowed to represent your team. AGE RESTRICTION: Any student who has turned 15 before August 1, 2011 will NOT be eligible for this tournament. They must also meet the student athlete requirements based on the FNSBSD 2011-2012 handbook. We reserve the right to refuse any participant. Wrestling Times Friday March 2, 2012 10:00 a.m. Saturday March 3, 2012 9:00 a.m. Seeding Meeting The seeding meeting will be held at Tanana Middle School on Wednesday, February 29th, 2012. It will start at 5 p.m. All seeding information should be at Tanana Middle School by noon (12:00 p.m.) on Tuesday, February 28th. These must be e-mailed to Coach Wimer at todd.wimer@k12northstar.org. IF YOU ARE REGISTERING ONLINE: You have until 4:30pm on Wednesday (29th) to complete it. After 4:30pm, the system will be locked and you cannot make changes. Fees All entry fees are used to defray the cost of hosting the tournament, officials, and awards. Fees must be paid by Friday, March 2, 2012. Any fees not paid will be collected at Friday`s coaches meeting at 8:30 a.m.. Receipts will be given out at that time. NUMBER OF WRESTLERS FEE 1 - 5 $30.00 per wrestler 6 - 10 $175.00 11 - 15 $250.00 16 - 25 $300.00 26 - 30 $325.00 31+ $375.00 Hospitality Room The hospitality room is provided for coaches and referees only. Each coach will be issued a pass which must be shown to enter. If a coach?s name is not provided with the information you submit, that coach will not get a pass. Parents and other supporters will need to use the concessions. Any team found abusing the hospitality room will be removed from the tournament and will not be refunded entry fees. Housing Coaches or chaparones, staying at Tanana, need to be in the same room as kids to provide needed supervision. If you need assistance with sleeping arrangements, please contact Jim Hull, Wrestling Coach, at 452 ? 8145, ext. 9145 or james.hull@k12northstar.org Miscellaneous Please be ready to provide your own baggies for ice, your own tape, and cushions for your bed. These will not be available. Any damage or excessive messiness caused by teams being housed will be grounds for being removed and will not be refunded entry fee. CHILD ABUSE, ABUSIVE LANGUAGE, DISORDERLY CONDUCT, WILL NOT BE TOLERATED!
