'`1st Annual COLUMBIA HICKMAN VARSITY GIRLS WRESTLING TOURNAMENT January 22, 2021 To Coaches and Athletic Directors: Blue Springs South, Hickman, Jefferson City, Southern Boone, Northwest Cedar Hill, Rock Bridge, Holt, Battle, and Fulton From: Jack Rubenstein- Athletic Director Dan Pieper - Head Wrestling Coach Doug Gordon - Tournament Manager Hickman High School Re: Tournament Information This year we will have a 9 team (2 pools) with the top two in each pool placed in a championship bracket. The bottom two in each pool are placed into a consultation bracket. This is an attempt to get your athletes 5 matches of quality late season action. OR best fit brackets for each weight class. Friday, January 22, 2021 Tentative Schedule/Time 2:30PM Scales Available at Hickman 3:00PM Weigh-ins at Hickman High School 4:00PM First Round Pool Play 5:15PM Second Round Pool Play 6:30PM Third Round Pool Play 7:45PM Fourth Round (Consolation Semifinals) 9:00PM Fifth Round (Championship, 3rd 5th 7th) Format: This year we will be using Trackwrestling to run our tournament online. Each team will have a window on time to enter your athletes and their records. Wrestlers will be seeded into pools based on the criteria we have set up in Trackwrestling. Entering and Seeding of Wrestler: Below are the windows of time for `Statisticians` to enter information about their wrestlers They will have until 01/20/2021 10:00 p.m. C.S.T. to enter their lineup. They will have until 01/21/2021 10:00 p.m. C.S.T. to enter seeding criteria information for each of their wrestlers. They will have from 01/20/2021 10:01 p.m. C.S.T. until 01/21/2021 10:00 p.m. C.S.T. to enter head to head information for their wrestlers. Seeding Criteria: Head to Head State Placer 2020 District Placer 2020 Season Record 2020-21 Season Record Winning Percentage 2020-21 Team scoring: We will be tracking team score this year. Weigh-Ins: Weigh-ins will be held 3:00PM. Tournament fee: $350.00 Checking can be made out to Columbia Public Schools Health Guideline CPS/Boone County Health Department Spectator Protocols - No Spectators can be in attendance at this tournament. - Boone County is currently under a 100-person gathering limit; therefore, we are limited to a maximum of 100 total spectators. - Facemask is required to enter the premise and must always be worn and expected to maintain social distance when possible. Other Logistics - No locker rooms for the visiting team due to covid, please plan accordingly. - Facemasks required by participants not actively participating in the competition (i.e. on the bench) - Social distancing is strongly encouraged of both teams (utilizing the first two rows of bleachers behind the bench to space out) - Facemasks always required by all coaches - Concessions will not be offered, but food/drink will be permitted in All the above expectations must be met in accordance with our Boone County Health Department and officials.
