WyCo Wrestling Tournament Turner High School 2-4-2017 Coaches and Athletic Directors, We are looking forward to hosting the upcoming WYCO Wrestling tournament. We have enclosed some general tournament information and the WYCO wrestling policies Schedule: Potential Schedule (Will move ahead if time allows): 7:00 a.m. Seeding meeting 7:15 a.m. Skin Check 8:00 a.m. Begin Round #1 9:00 am Begin Round #2 10:00 am Begin Round #3 11:00am Lunch 11:45am Begin Round #4 12:45 Begin Round #5 or place matches (if necessary) Weigh-in: Weigh-in at your home school. Provide your weigh in sheet at the seeding meeting. We will also allow on-site weigh-ins, please notify Ben Sutherlin if you choose on-site weigh-ins. Medals: WyCo By-Laws mandate bracket format and indicate medals (gold, silver & bronze) will be awarded to the top 3 wrestlers in each weight class and each member of the team champion (14 gold). Entry Fees: $100 per school Officials: Todd Wollard, Chester Hersh, Carl Owczarzak Locker Rooms: There will be locker rooms available to dress and shower, however they will not be secured. We will not be responsible for lost, damaged or stolen items. Hospitality: THS will provide a hospitality room for coaches, workers, administrators and bus drivers. Entries: We will be using 6-man pool format from Track Wrestling. Please provide your wrestling coaches email address so that we can send them a password for entries. Entries will be due by Feb. 1st, 2017. Substitutions will not be allowed after the seeding meeting. We will allow JV wrestler to fill the pool. If the pools are incomplete, a notification will be sent out to add additional wrestlers until pools are filled. In the event that all seven schools have a wrestler at on particular weight class, we will have two pools and there will be place matches to determine overall winners. Concessions: Concessions will be provided. Admission: Adults: $5.00 Students: $4.00 Pass Gate: Please send the attached form to kookenl@turnerusd202.org by 2/1/17. Sportsmanship: Only two coaches will be allowed at mat side. Parents, cheerleaders, fans and other wrestlers should remain in the stands. Your help in this matter is appreciated. WYCO Policy: The following guidelines are to be used when seeding the League Tournament: Team scores will be kept and the team with the most team points will be recognized as the League Champion. Seeding Priority: 1st Priority: Seed varsity wrestlers based on head to head competition. 2nd Priority: If head to head competition does not determine seed, then seed according to overall season record. 3rd Priority: Draw required byes. 4th Priority: Draw varsity wrestlers with losing records.
