Lake Mills High School would like to welcome to you the NIC Wrestling Tournament on February 1, 2014. It is our pleasure to serve as your host. The information included in this letter should serve as a guide for your participation in this tournament. TIME SCHEDULE:
7:30 A.M. ? Locker rooms & scale will be available in the wrestling room
8:00 A.M. ? Weigh-Ins in the wrestling room and seeding meeting immediate afterwards in room 123.
9:00 A.M. - Doors open to the general public.
10 A.M. - Round 1 - Quarterfinals
Round 2 - Semifinals and Consolation Quarterfinals
Round 3 - Consolation Semifinals
Round 4 - 5th/6th Place Matches
Final Round - 1st/2nd & 3rd/4th Place Matches
PARKING/DROP-OFF: Please drop off athletes and coaches at the main entrance of the west side of the building. All Buses will be expected to be parked in the west lot.
LOCKER ROOMS: Locker rooms will be assigned and shared with various wrestlers. They will not be locked during the day so do not leave items unattended.

OFFICIALS: 3 Officials will work the conference tournament. An assigned official will serve as weigh-in supervisor.
MATS: We will be using two mats - Mat 1: west mat. Mat 2: east mat.
TOWELS: Please furnish your own.
TRAINING STAFF: Stutzman Physical Therapy will be available throughout the day.
SCORING: As per IHSAA Rule.
TRACK WRESTLING: We will be using Track Wrestling to score the meet. The NIC will be hiring Steve Kappos to run the software during the meet. Any questions for Steve can be emailed to him at skapppos@forestcity.k12.ia.us. The meet is posted on the Track Wrestling site at http://www.trackwrestling.com. Coaches will need to enter their wrestlers into Track by 10 pm on Thursday January 30th. They will receive a separate email with instructions and passwords from Track Wrestling.
AWARDS: Will be awarded at the conclusion of the tournament. Wrestlers participating in the awards ceremonies are to wear only school-issued attire. Coaches, communicate this to your wrestlers involved.
TICKET PRICES: Adults and Students - $4.00
PASS GATE: Will be located as you enter each of the main entrances. Only people with valid passes (per IHSAA) will be allowed through pass gate. We will be honoring conference passes.
HOSPITALITY ROOM: There will be a hospitality rooms available for the Administrators, Coaches, Officials, and Workers assigned to the tournament by the tournament manager.
The hospitality room will be located north of the gym in room 125.
CONCESSIONS: A concession stand will be available. NO COOKING ALLOWED.
CHEERLEADERS: Six cheerleaders and a chaperone will be admitted free. Please enter through the pass gate. The auditorium will serve as the cheer room for this tournament
SPORTSMANSHIP: The IHSAA places sportsmanship as a number one priority in high school athletics. A lot is on the line on this day, but we expect the athletes and coaches to act appropriately throughout the day. If one of your athletes does become upset it is our expectation that you or one of your assistants will take control of the situation immediately. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated.
COOLERS: We will not allow coolers in the gym. This is due to the anticipated crowd. Coolers take up space which we want to keep for spectators. Please alert parents, as well, who may bring coolers for their wrestlers. Coolers are to be kept in locker rooms.
SEATING: Per most tournaments your school will be assigned a section within the gym to sit. Please prep your parents, and fans for this and encourage them to be courteous and respectful fans to help keep this event running smoothly.
VIDEOTAPING: All videotaping must be done from the stands. Batteries must be used. Tripods will not be allowed due to space and safety limitations.
BANNERS, SIGNS, HOOPS, ETC.: Prohibited by the IHSAA, as per IHSAA Handbook/Website.
