We will accept up to 20 teams. Weight Classifications & Two Pound Weight Allowance ⮚ Girls weight classes: Girls weight classes: We will use the new NFHS girls weight classes 100, 105, 110, 115, 120, 125, 130, 135, 140, 145, 155, 170, 190, 235. Girls will receive a two pound allowance if a team competes on a Wednesday and a Thursday. Line-up Entry Deadline ⮚ Lineups must be posted online by Monday, November 29th at 7:00 P.M. (preferably earlier) to www.trackwrestling.com. To post your lineup and seeding criteria you will need to go www.trackwrestling.com and use your assigned username and password that will be sent to you in an email. Head to Head Matchups ⮚ Once the clock strikes 7 P.M. on WEDNESDAY Dec 1st, all the teams` rosters will be available for public viewing. At that point you will be able to login and select which opponents your wrestler has beaten head-to-head. This option will only be open during that 24 hour period between 7 P.M. on Wednesday and 7:00 P.M. on Thursday. If you have a lineup change between Wednesday and Friday, please email Cody Burdett by Friday morning at 9:00 A.M. at cburdett@alpinedistrict.org. For any other problems, call or text Cody Burdett. Weigh-in ⮚ Friday weigh ins we will weigh in by weight class starting at 1pm Seeding ⮚ Because of the efficiency of Trackwrestling`s seeding algorithm, a seeding meeting will not be necessary. Seeding will be conducted in accordance with the following tournament rules and criteria: o Head coaches are directly responsible to ensure their team rosters and all seeding information is entered on-time and accurately! Wrestlers who have no seeding criteria entered may not be considered for seeding. Any disgruntled parents or competitors will be reminded of the policy and will be referred to the wrestler`s head coach. o Lineup Deadline: Monday, Nov 29th, 7:00 PM: Lineups and seeding information (grade in school, season win-loss record, big tournament finishes, returning post-season finishes, etc.) must be entered before this Monday night deadline. See below for seeding criteria. o Head-to-head Matchups Entry Deadline is Wednesday, December, 1st, 7:00 PM: Only current season head-to-head wins and losses apply. Before entering a head-to-head win for a wrestler, make sure he has indeed beaten any opponents you indicate. o Seeding will be finalized by the program and by the tournament directors by Thursday night, December 3rd. Following weigh ins, the weight classes, entries, and seeds will be verified and final brackets will be released. SEEDING CRITERIA: Seeding will be done by committee with the below guidelines used for seeding. ⮚ ⮚ 2021 State Tournament Place ⮚ Current Season Record Wins/Season Record Winning Percentage ⮚ 2020-21 Season placings ⮚ Previous Year State Tournament Place ⮚ Draw Coaches Meeting: Quick Coaches meeting will follow weigh-ins around 12:45pm. We will feed coaches around 5pm Spectator Tickets: $7 for Adult, $5 for child (12 and under) Girls Awards ⮚ Individual Champions will receive a custom Thor Girl Hammer and Thor Girl Singlet. 2nd-8th varsity place winners in each weight class will receive medals. ⮚ The top three teams will receive team trophies ⮚ Two outstanding wrestlers will be named for the event. Upper and Lower weights Brackets Types: Brackets will be posted to trackwrestling.com. Bracket types used will be 16 Man Cons. WB-3rd Place 8. This bracket does not allow more than 5 matches. If you lose your first, the best you can get is 7th. If you lose in the quarters, you can still take 3rd place (unlike at state). We will wrestle through 8th place.`
