Varsity Team Champion to receive 14 custom singlets!!! -We will have a High School Girls Division Friday, December 20, 2019 - 11:00am Weigh ins -11:45am Coaches Mtg - 12:45pm Session 1 (Varsity on 7 mats, JV on 7 mats) - 5:00pm Dinner break (approximate time) - 5:30pm Session 2 (Varsity on 7 mats, JV on 7 mats) - *wrestling will conclude around 8-8:30pm - *will wrestle until the semifinals and as many rounds of consolation as possible on Friday Saturday, December 21, 2019 - 8:30am Weigh ins - 9:45am Session 3 (semis, conso and conso semis for JV and Varsity) - 1:00pm Session 4 JV placement matches *will start earlier if possible - 2:00pm Lunch break/set up for finals - 2:20pm National Anthem then finals face off - 2:30pm Finals (1st, 3rd, 5th place matches for varsity & girls) - 4:15pm Team awards, & outstanding wrestler awards - *JV will run straight through all placing rounds on Saturday - *girls will start wrestling on Saturday with weigh ins at 8:30am and wrestling to begin at 9:45am. Girls will wrestle through all matches with placement matches alongside the varsity placement matches. -Entry Fee -Team entry fees are $450.00 (includes varsity and JV) per school or $300 per team (JV or Varsity if not bringing both), due and payable at the coaches meeting. Please make checks payable to USA Wrestling Utah. Each team will only be allowed 14 varsity wrestlers and 14 JV wrestlers. Extras will only be allowed based on availability (no guarantees). If extras are allowed they will be $20 per extra. An extra wrestler is defined as any wrestler over the 14 in the varsity tournament or any wrestler over the 14 in the JV event -Girls Entry Fee -Girls entry fee will be paid at $15 per wrestler -Weight Classifications & Two Pound Weight Allowance -Standard NFHS weight classes will be used. Due to the fact that teams entered in the tournament will compete on Wednesday and Thursday immediately preceding the tournament, a two-pound weight allowance will be made. (108, 115, 122, 128, 134, 140, 147, 154, 162, 172, 184, 197, 222, 287) The weight will remain the same for Saturday; there will be no additional allowance as per rule. - Girls weights: 100, 105, 110, 115, 120, 125, 130, 135, 140, 150, 165, 180, 200, 200+ (no allowance for the girls division) Line-up Entry Deadline - Lineups must be posted online by Tuesday, December 17th at 7:00 P.M. (preferably earlier) to www.trackwrestling.com. To post your lineup and seeding criteria you will need to go www.trackwrestling.com and use your assigned username and password that will be sent to you in an email. Head to Head Matchups - Once the clock strikes 7 P.M. on Tuesday the 17th, all the teams` rosters will be available for public viewing. At that point you will be able to login and select which opponents your wrestler has beaten head-to-head. This option will only be open during that 24 hour period between 7 P.M. on Tuesday and 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday. If you have a lineup change between Tuesday and Friday, please email Jeff Newby by Friday morning at 8 A.M. at jeffreynewby@hotmail.com. For any other problems, call or text Jeff Newby. Parking - Buses should park in the far northeast corner of the north parking lot. Weigh-in - On Friday the weigh-in will begin at 11:00 AM. They will be conducted at the main arena floor and will proceed according to NFHS rules. For the Friday weigh-in, teams will be assigned to weigh in with another team with the opposing coaches acting as the officiators. You must use your valid weigh-in sheet assigned by the weight management website. Saturday, the weigh-in will begin at 8:30 am and will be conducted by weight class as indicated by NFHS rules. Seeding -Because of the efficiency of Trackwrestling`s seeding algorithm, a seeding meeting will not be necessary. Seeding will be conducted in accordance with the following tournament rules and criteria: o Head coaches are directly responsible to ensure their team rosters and all seeding information is entered on-time and accurately! Wrestlers who have no seeding criteria entered may not be considered for seeding. Any disgruntled parents or competitors will be reminded of the policy and will be referred to the wrestler`s head coach. o Lineup Deadline: Tuesday, December 17th, 7:00 PM: Lineups and seeding information (grade in school, season win-loss record, big tournament finishes, returning post-season finishes, etc.) must be entered before this Tuesday night deadline. See below for seeding criteria. o Head-to-head Matchups Entry Deadline is Wednesday, December, 18th, 7:00 PM: Coaches will enter head-to-head matchups on Trackwrestling on Wednesday, December 18th before 7:00 PM. Only current season head-to-head wins and losses apply. Before entering a head-to-head win for a wrestler, make sure he has indeed beaten any opponents you indicate. o Seeding will be finalized by the program and by the tournament directors by Thursday night, December 19th. Following weighins, the weight classes, entries, and seeds will be verified and final brackets will be released. SEEDING CRITERIA: Seeding will be done by committee with the below guidelines used for seeding. - 2019 State Tournament Place - Current Season Record Wins/Season Record Winning Percentage - 2019-20 Season placings - Previous Year State Tournament Place - 2019 State Qualifier - Draw *In the JV tournament all will be drawn in. Coaches Meeting - A coaches meeting will be held at 11:45 AM on Friday morning in which the format of the tournament will be discussed as well as any other pertinent information. Brackets - Real-time brackets will be available for viewing by coaches and statisticians at Trackwrestling.com. Internet Access - Because of the high load demands of the tournament management on the Legacy Event Center?s internet connection, team coaches and statisticians will be responsible for securing their own internet access at the event. Farmington has excellent data coverage by all major cell phone providers, so it is recommended you use a data plan with cell phone provider for the tournament. Current Utah or Idaho Activities Assoc. passes will be honored for admission. Cheerleaders in uniform will be admitted free of charge. A reasonable number of team managers and scorekeepers will be admitted without charge. Awards - The top six varsity place winners in each weight class will receive medals. The top two teams will receive trophies and top team in varsity division will receive 14 custom singlets. An outstanding wrestler will be named in the lower and upper weights. Each will receive a trophy. In the J.V. tournament the top six place winners will receive medals and the top two teams will receive trophies. In the girls tournament the top 6 place winners will receive medals and the top team will receive a trophy. Junior Varsity & Girls Tournament - The J.V. & Girls Tournament will run next to the Varsity tournament on the same schedule.
