Welcome: We are pleased to welcome you to the Reedsville School District. It is our pleasure to host the 2022 Big East Conference Wrestling Tournament. Please pass along the enclosed information to AD/Coaches, competitors, spectators and bus drivers.
Schedule:
7:30 AM: Doors open ? please enter via the main Elementary entrance
8:00 AM: Weigh-ins ? Elementary Gym (Tile Gym)
8:30 AM: Coaches? Meeting ? Coaches? Meeting Room = Elementary Library (Located near the elementary
office, next room down the hallway)
9:27 AM: National Anthem
9:30 AM: Wrestling ? JV will complete their first round prior to the first round of Varsity. Following this, JV
and Varsity rounds will alternate until the completion of the JV Tournament. (Tentative Plan)
Session 1: Quarterfinals, Semifinal, Consolation Semifinal Rounds
30-minute lunch break at the conclusion of Round 3
Mats will also be cleaned during the break
Session 2: Placement Rounds - 5th and 3rd place, followed by Finals
Note: Rounds will begin approximately 10 minutes after the completion of the previous round.
After Final Rounds: Head coaches convene in coaches? meeting room (Library laptop lab) to select Outstanding

Seeding Information: Trackwrestling will be used to enter your roster. You will be receiving an e-mail with your login and password. If you do not receive that initial email on Friday, January 31st, please call Kayla Spurley at 608-574-6823. Please take notice of deadlines. If you have not already, Gen 3 Media will contact you for information needed for the program.
Tournament Format: The brackets will be seeded based upon conference records entered through Trackwrestling by the deadlines. Coaches please get your rosters/records entered into Trackwrestling by the deadlines! Seeding will be done automatically by the criteria set up in Trackwrestling. The coaches? meeting is not supposed to be a debate. Kayla Spurley will be tracking scoring on Trackwrestling.
There will be a large TV displaying current progress at the event with wrestlers up next and those currently wrestling
Awards: Individual medals are provided for 1st and 2nd place. Honorable mention certificates will be provided for 3rd place finishers. The awards for each weight class will be handed out by the coach of the conference champion of that weight class. Awards will be handed out at the conclusion of the championship matches. The team conference champion will receive a plaque, at a later date from the conference. The AD of the champion team will coordinate this with Crown Trophy in Sheboygan. Coaches convene at the conclusion of the Finals in the coaches? meeting room (Library) to determine the recipient of The Outstanding Wrestler award. This award will be voted on by head coaches only. The award is based upon the Conference Tournament performance before the individual champions are announced.
Locker Room Assignments: Wrestlers are responsible for their own valuables and towels.

Coaches? Hospitality Room: The coach?s hospitality room will be in the back of the concession room. This room is only for coaches, officials, select tournament workers, and the organization working the concessions. Meals will be available to coaches and officials in this room at the lunch break. Meal passes will be provided.
Concessions: Concessions will be sponsored by the Reedsville Youth in Government Club.
In the Gym: We will run two mats in the Panther Gym. Remind your wrestlers and fans that inappropriate behaviors at the conference tournament or regionals could be grounds for missing their next event which could eliminate them from the WIAA Individual or Team Tournament Series.
Spectator Admission: NOTE: No Big East Passes Accepted??only administrative passes accepted.
Adult Child/Student/Senior ? children under 6 accompanied by an adult are admitted free.

* In order to do away with the many problems associated with clearing the gym. Patrons arriving for or during the opening session will be charged the all session ticket price listed above. Patrons arriving for or during the last two rounds will be charged according to the price listed for that session.
Team Admissions: Upon entrance to the school, please stop at the team check-in at the ticket table to receive an envelope which will contain your submitted roster from Trackwrestling. Immediately make spelling and record corrections in the Coaches? Meeting Room (Elementary Library). Team members, coaches, and managers should then proceed to the assigned locker rooms to prepare for weigh-ins.
Weather Guidelines: In case of inclement weather the following guidelines should be implemented to pre-plan for the potential of bad weather. It is important that you return an e-mail with contact phone numbers for your coach to RSD Activities Director - Ben Krull? bkrull@reedsville.k12.wi.us upon receipt of this information sheet.
Be in contact with busing companies to adjust travel departure times if necessitated by the forecast.
Adjust event schedule times if dictated by delayed arrivals. (make weigh-in decisions in concert with the head official if a later start time is warranted.)
If it appears that weather may affect travel in your region, ?phone trees? or other automatic notifications systems can be a big help. Ben Krull will update rSchool which should trigger any fans with auto-notification.
Exchange as much information in advance to facilitate effective emergency communication.
