COMPETING SCHOOLS: Belvidere North Burlington Central Clinton DeWitt Central Dixon Rockford Guilford Rochelle Sterling Fenton PAIRINGS/SEEDING: Seeding Criteria will be as follows: 1) State Placer, 2) State Qualifier, 3) Returning Carson DeJarnatt Champion, 4) Sectional Qualifier, 5) Current 2013-2014 Record. If there is a tie in any of the above criteria, we then go to the next criteria. Every effort will be made to seed up to 8 wrestlers in each weight class. ***Wrestlers will be seeded the previous night. Bracket adjustments will be made during the scratch meeting. No other adjustments will be made. HOSPITALITY ROOM: This will be in the auditorium lobby. The room will be open at 7:30 a.m. on Saturday. WEIGH-IN: Weight check at 7:00 a.m. Official weigh-in starts at 7:30 a.m. The weigh-in will be conducted in the west locker room. At this time, there is no weight allowance. Please notify Sterling HS by Tuesday, Dec. 9th if you wrestle Friday, Dec. 12th. COACHES MEETING: Coaches will meet at the conclusion of the weigh-in in the hospitality room to make corrections in the weight brackets. SESSIONS: Wrestling will start at 9:30 a.m. OFFICIALS: Jim Carnahan, Roy Snyder, Don Mekeel, Kevin Barringer, and Jim Busser AWARDS: The individual awards for first, second, third, fourth and consolation winners will be given immediately after the final match in the succeeding weight class. The team championship trophy will be awarded at the conclusion of the tournament. PASSES: Teams will enter the building at entrance #23 for weigh ins. Fans and parents, etc. will enter the building at entrance #21 and or #28. LOCKER ROOM: All teams will use the west locker room. Lockers will be assigned the day of the meet. The locker room will be open at 6:45 a.m. TOWELS & LOCKS: Please bring your own. Sterling High School will not furnish towels. Sterling High School will not be responsible for lost or stolen articles. BYES: Byes will be placed on brackets as per rule book. ENTRY SHEETS & ENTRY FEES: These should be faxed in sufficient time to reach Sterling High School no later than Tuesday, December 9th. Entry fee must be paid prior to team participation. MEALS: A concession stand will be open during the tournament. Several carry-out restaurants are available. Please ask the staff for recommendations. PARKING: There is ample parking for spectators in the high school parking lot directly north of the school. MATCHES: The P.A. Announcer will call the competitors and assign them to mats. Please have your boys alert. The P.A. will be at the east end of the field house. SUPERVISION: It will be very helpful if each school is responsible for its wrestlers and cheerleaders during the course of the meet. Cheerleaders will be allowed only at the ends of the gym and must stay at least 10 feet from the mat. TICKETS: Adults - $5.00 Seniors Citizens/Students - $3.00 NOTE: PLEASE NOTIFY YOUR WRESTLERS THAT PORTABLE STEREO UNITS WILL NOT BE ALLOWED IN THE BUILDING.
