This is an open wrestling tournament for 7th and 8th graders and you may enter as many wrestlers as you wish. Wrestlers will be placed into 4 man round-robin brackets based on weight first and ability second. Entry fee is $4.00 per wrestler. YOU WILL RECEIVE AN EMAIL ON HOW TO ENTER YOUR WRESTLERS INTO TRACK WRESTLING. Please check to make sure the kids you place in Track Wrestling are in school this day and will be at the meet. Make changes accordingly to your entries up to 3:00 PM day of the meet. There will be a Coaches? meeting at 3:00 PM. One locker room will be open. There will be 3 rounds of wrestling. We will wrestle on 6 mats. Each bracket will wrestle at the same mat each round. Matches will consist of three one-minute periods. All 3 periods will begin in the neutral position. Ties will be broken using the 2005 regulations. Scoring for placing: (Loss - Fall=0; TF= 1; MD=2; D=3) (Win - D=4; MD=5; TF=6; Fall=7) Any wrestler who wins all of his matches is the champion of the bracket regardless of match points. There will be a concession stand. There are custom medals for 1st-4th places. Teams will ?camp? on the deck. Not in the bleachers. We will provide an area for coaches to lock up their teams? valuables. There will be a coaches? hospitality room.
