Lorenzo Norman was a bit of an unknown at the NCAA level entering the 2023 CKLV. That changed when Norman, who entered the tournament with a 1-0 record, beat high-powered Oklahoma State freshman Brayden Thompson in his opening bout and followed that up with a 4-2 victory over 2021 NCAA champion Shane Griffith.
Bryce Andonian vs Meyer Shapiro may have been the most anticipated second-round match in the history of the Cliff Keen-Las Vegas Invitational.
