Jody Strittmatter on the Iowa experience
Jody Strittmatter was a 2x national champion at the University of Pitt-Johnstown before going to the University of Iowa to finish out his college career. He went to Pitt-Johnstown because it was close to where he grew up and he knew that head coach Pat Pecora was a great coach who had been there for a long time. For some reason he had always wanted to go to Iowa and Mark Ironside, one of the biggest names at the time, helped him make that happen. Jody Strittmatter is extremely grateful for this time at Iowa and thinks it was an amazing experience. He was an NCAA runner-up and he feels that they loss he suffered in the finals has helped him to become the coach he is today and motivates him to help others to become successful.
