Gavin Teasdale Looking To Make Powerade History
Gavin Teasdale Looking To Make Powerade History
Gavin Teasdale can become the seventh wrestler in Powerade history to win four titles.
There are just six wrestlers in Powerade history who have won four straight titles, and Gavin Teasdale has the opportunity to become the seventh this weekend in Pittsburgh.
The undefeated three-time Pennsylvania state and Powerade champ has been flawless so far in his career, which currently makes him one of 18 total wrestlers to win three titles. That puts the Jefferson-Morgan (PA) senior in good company. The list of three-timers includes guys such as Teague Moore, Coleman Scott, Josh Kindig, and most recently Spencer Lee, who won his third along with Teasdale a season ago.
Teasdale's first and second titles came against Pat Glory. [Watch their first meeting below]
Then last year the Penn State signee defeated Logan Macri to claim his third. Now Teasdale will have fellow returning champ Sammy Hilegas and National Prep champ Beau Bartlett looking to stand between him and history in the tournament's 126-pound bracket.
