Fifth Annual State College Youth Wrestling
Lions Den Dual Tournament
When: Saturday January 20th , 2024. Wrestling will start at 9:30 AM after coaches meeting.
Location: State College Area High School, 650 Westerly Parkway, State College, PA 16801
Rules: Modified PIAA rules, 1-1-1 bout length, Headgear optional, singlet mandatory
Entry Fee: $450/team- Make checks payable to State College Youth Wrestling, mailed to PO Box 345
Boalsburg, PA 16827
Deadline: Entry will close upon receipt of the first 16 PAID commitments.
Eligibility: Wrestlers must be in grades K-6 and must reside in the team’s school district. If questioned,
proof is required. ****There will be NO PICKUPS, all wrestlers must reside in the teams school
district****
Weigh Ins: Same day weigh ins from 7:30-9:00 AM at the wrestling event. Friday evening weigh ins will
be held from 5:00-7:00 at Our Lady of Victory School, 800 Westerly Parkway, State College PA 16801,
Roster: A complete team roster must be submitted via phone, email (jonwhitbred@gmail.com) or mail
by January 18th 2023. A signed waiver must be completed by each wrestler and turned in as well.
Weight Classes: 50, 55, 60, 64, 68, 72, 76, 80, 84, 88, 92, 98, 105, 115, 130, 165
Awards: Team trophies and individual medals for top 4 placing teams, trophies for each bracket
champions and Outstanding Wrestler award for each team.
Admission: $10.00 for adults, $5.00 per student.
Other: Pool play style duals, guaranteed 5 matches.
Each team will need to provide a scorekeeper. Wrestlers may only move up one weight class. NO CLUB
OR ALL-STAR TEAMS.
Food will be available at concession all day.
