'The format for Affton?s 8th Annual Esmond Ford Memorial Wrestling Tournament will be similar to two years ago. It will depend on how we are able to fill out each weight class. We will attempt to get each kid as many matches as possible. We will use multiple brackets to do this. THE BOYS WILL BE WRESTLING ON THE SATURDAY 12/2. Entries are to be done on Trackwrestling.com. The on-line entry must be completed and filled out completely by email no later than 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 30th. No wrestler who has not been entered by Thursday, November 30th will compete. Wrestlers, who do not make weight, will not be placed in another weight class. They may be only replaced. PLEASE CONTACT TIM HILL WITH EXTRA WRESTLERS! WE WILL USE THEM TO FILL OUT THE BRACKETS. Also, this is a memorial tournament. It is a fundraiser for the Esmond Ford Scholarship. We will be selling tournament t-shirts for that purpose. Please inform your wrestlers so they can bring money to purchase them. Boys Saturday 12/2 Schedule: 6:45 a.m. - Scale is open 7:15 a.m. - Weigh-ins begin 8:15 a.m. - Coaches meeting 9:00 a.m. - Wrestling begins, rounds 1-4. A 30 minute break for lunch will be taken Between noon and 1:00 p.m. 4:00 p.m. - 1st. And 3rd. Place matches. Awards will be made at the conclusion of all Matches. 6:30 p.m. - Tournament completed Awards: Team trophies for 1st. And 2nd. Place. Individual medals for 1st, 2nd and 3rd. Facilities: Lockers are available but locks are not furnished. Affton accepts no responsibility for lost or stolen items. Hospitality will be available to table workers, coaches, ADs & Bus Drivers.
