Dear Coach,
Hello, my name is Robby Bell and I am the athletic director at Fountain Inn High School in Fountain Inn, South Carolina. I am writing to formally invite you and your team to our 1st annual Fury Invitational Tournament to be held on Dec. 7, 2024. Fountain Inn is located just off I-385 about 20 minutes south of Greenville, South Carolina. What we plan to do with the tournament is to make it extremely competitive involving only twelve teams. By doing this, I believe that we will be able to offer a high level of competition and opportunity in a relaxed, organized, and well structured environment. The tournament will be operated on a 12 man bracket as we attempt to get each wrestler at least three matches. 

Losing wrestlers in 1st round conso will wrestle a third match against the otherlosing wrestler. A team scoring system will be in place to award the top three teams. Other awards will be given, such as Most Outstanding Wrestler and Most Falls. We will also offer a small JV tournament in conjunction with this event. This will allow you to be in the same gym with your better JV wrestlers to get an opportunity to coach them during the season. We limit the JV to 14 entries per TEAM, and the entry fee is $10 per JV wrestler.

I hope that you will consider including us on your 23-24 schedule. I believe that the tournament will provide your team with valuable experience against quality competition. Team Scoring
The standard NFHS scoring for an individual bracket will be used.

Special Notes:
1. Points will not be awarded to wrestlers who win a third match after losing in the 1st round of consolations (7th and 8th place match).
2. If officials or the tournament director disqualifies a wrestler from the tournament, his team will lose all the points earned by that wrestler.

The entry fee will be $225 and please send to the correct address below (do not forget it is $10 per JV wrestler with a cap of $140 additional dollars for JV). Failing to attend after this contract has been signed and returned will result in forfeit of the entry fee.

IMPORTANT: If there is a line-up change, please notify the Tournament Director as soon as possible. If a varsity wrestler gets injured, we will allow that team to substitute a wrestler into that weight class. If the missing wrestler was a seeded competitor, then the bracket will be adjusted. If the missing wrestler was not seeded, then the replacement will take over that spot in the bracket. 

Coaches, please do your best to fill every weight class. You will have until Friday at 4:00 to e-mail a change to Robby Bell.

The point system will be used to determine the seeding for the top eight wrestlers.

24 State- State Place
1st- 40 points
2nd- 30 points
3rd- 25 points

SQ- State Qualifier in 23 or 24 - 15 points
***  If wrestler placed in 23, but not in 24 you count them only as a SQ.
