Event Details:

  • Age Groups (Determined by Year of Birth) (official details here):
    • 8U (Born 2017-2018)
    • 10U (Born 2015-2016)
    • 12U (Born 2013-2014)
    • 14U (Born 2011-2012)
    • 16U (Born 2009-2010) ) - This age group typically includes freshmen and some sophomores.
    • Juniors (Born 9/1/2005-2008 and enrolled in grades 9-12)

Weight Classes:

We encourage athletes to compete at their natural weight. Instead of specific weight classes, athletes will be grouped or pooled with others close in weight to ensure fair and competitive matches. Weight checks will be conducted on-site, and wrestlers must be within 3 lbs of their registered weight. Failure to comply will result in disqualification without a refund. A second offense will result in a season-long suspension for both the coach and the wrestler.

Registration:

Registration is open now!

Important: This year, there will be no walk-up registration. Online registration remains open until 8 am the morning of the tournament. Enjoy some extra rest by registering online the night before the tournament!

  • Cost: $20 per wrestler
  • Weight Submission: Wrestlers must submit their weight during online registration. Spot checks will be conducted at the event.
  • Registration Deadline: 8:00 AM, Saturday, October 5

New Registration Process via USA Wrestling:

Registration is open now! This year, TCWA is using USA Wrestling for registration instead of TrackWrestling. Matches will still be managed on TrackWrestling. Here`s a step-by-step guide to registering:

If You Have a USA Wrestling Login:

  1. Go to the TCWA Dos Pueblos Folkstyle Registration page and click `Register Now.`
  2. Log in to your USA Wrestling account.
  3. Select your profile to proceed.
  4. Provide your age division, weight, experience, and emergency contact info.
  5. Complete registration by paying the $20 fee. Note: Registration isn`t complete until payment is made.

If You Do NOT Have a USA Wrestling Login:

  1. Create a Login: Go to the USA Wrestling Membership page and create a new login if you don`t already have one.
  2. Go to Profiles: After creating your login, you`ll see the `Welcome to the USA Wrestling Membership System` page. Click `Go To Profiles` under Step 1.
  3. Claim Your Profile: If your coach has already created one, click `Claim Profile` to link it to your login.
  4. Create a New Profile: If no profile exists, create a new one. Be sure to check for an existing profile first, as many high school teams may have already set one up.
  5. Return to Registration: Follow the steps for `If You Have a USA Wrestling Login` to complete your registration. Note: Registration is not complete until the $20 entry fee is paid.

Check-in:

  • Kids: 8:00-8:30 AM
  • High School (16U and JRs): 10:00-10:30 AM

To help prevent bottlenecks, please start checking in as soon as the check-in period begins.

USA Wrestling Cards:

  • Coaches must have a current USA Wrestling card to receive a wristband and coach mat-side.
  • All athletes must have a current USA Wrestling card to compete.

Tournament Information & Amenities:

  • Concessions: Coffee, pastries, candy, fruit, electrolyte drinks, popsicles, pizza, and hotdogs will be available on-site.
  • Mexican Food Truck: A food truck will be on-site, serving delicious Mexican cuisine.
  • Gate Fee: $5 for kids, $10 for adults.
  • Payment Options: We accept cash, Venmo, Zelle, and credit cards.

Team Tents

We`ll have a designated area for team tents behind the gym. Feel free to bring pop-up tents, chairs, blankets, and anything else to create a comfortable space for your athletes and families. It`s a great way to enjoy the tournament atmosphere and cheer on your team!
