'Tournament Information: To meet these session times and not keep wrestlers past 9:00pm on Friday, for those team that will be traveling home, wrestlers need to be at the mat ready to go. A wrestler will be given 5 minutes from the end of the previous bout before they forfeit the match. The goal is to wrestle a minimum of 30 matches an hour for the three mats. In the event we run into issues with the 45-minute wait we will not stop wrestling but move onto the next match until 45 minutes have been achieved for each wrestler. Friday, December 13, 2024 • Weigh-in, first day – 2:00 to 3:00pm (1-pound allowance) • Coaches Meeting – 3:00pm or conclusion of weigh-in • Session 1 – 4:00pm, Pigtail/Round of 32 • Session 2 – 5:30pm, Round of 16 There will be NO wrestle backs completed on Friday night. We will do our best to end session 2 at the conclusion of Round 16 with the goal to be completed by Session 2 will end at 9:00pm; +/- 10 minutes. As previously noted, this will allow for ample travel time for teams that are not staying in hotels. Saturday, December 14, 2024 • Weigh-in -- 8:00 to 8:30am (2-pound allowance) As before, it is possible that an additional 2- pound allowance may be provided at weigh-ins on Friday, depending on the dual meet schedules of the teams participating. An update will be provided as needed. • Session 3 -- 9:00am, Consolation Round 2 Note: Due to the maximum wrestlers allowed, there should be no Consolation Round. • Session 4 – 10:30am, Round of 8 (quarter-finals) on 2 mats and Consolation Round 3 on 1 mat. Once all quarter-final matches are complete we will open all mats for the Consolation Round 3. • Session 5 – 2:00pm, Consolation Round 4 on all mats • Session 6 – 3:30 PM, Semi-finals (on 2 mats) and Consolation Round 5 on 1 mat. Once all semi- final matches are complete we will open all mats for Consolation Round 5. • Session 7 – 5:00pm, Consolation semi-finals on all mats. There will be NO break between. We will begin this round as soon as Consolation Round 5 has concluded. • Session 8 –6:00pm, 7th place bouts on all mats GYM WILL BE CLEARED UPON CONCLUSION OF SESSION 8 Session 9 – 7:00pm, Championship Finals, 3rd Place Bouts, 5th Place Bouts will be wrestled simultaneously on all 3 mats. There will be a Parade of Champions prior to the finals. As always, the top bracket championship wrestler will line up in the hallway at the front of the gym, and the bottom bracket championship wrestlers will line up in the hallway at the back of the gym. Tickets/Concessions: Tickets for the tournament will be sold at the door. Ticket sales are cash only.
