Check-Ins:
â¦Each club’s Director or designee must sign in and pay for their team’s registration at the front check-in table and inform the Director of any known no show wrestlers.
Note: There are NO REFUNDS for NO SHOWS – Each club is responsible for full payment.
â¦All wrestlers must check in at the Skin Check area by the end of the Skin check-in time period to verify they do not have any contagious skin conditions. Wrestlers will not be admitted into the tournament if they are not checked in on time.
â¦Club Directors, or the designated person for that club, MUST inform the head person running the Skin Check area of any wrestlers that have not checked in by 8:30am for the morning session and 11:45am for the afternoon session.

â¦A Madison weight class system will be followed. The maximum weight distribution will be no more than 10%, without coach approval.
â¦All Wrestlers will report for skin check and be weighed in before Tournament starts. Weights reported by Coaches will be corrected, if there is more than a 2 lb. difference. This rule applies to all tournaments.
â¦All wrestlers will report for skin-check and weigh-ins before tournament starts. Any wrestler that exceeds the two pound allowance over the registered weight may be disqualified. If the tournament director believes that this was a typo error, the wrestler can be re-bracketed.
â¦Weight challenges during a tournament are performed at the tournament directorÂ’s discretion. When a wrestlerÂ’s weight is challenged by another wrestler (Coach Only), then the challenging wrestler will also be weighed in.
â¦When weighing-in, each wrestler must weigh-in wearing a competition singlet or shorts.

â¦Head Gear- Required for all age groups (no exceptions)
â¦Mouth Guards- Required by all wrestlers with braces
â¦Tech Falls- Will occur when a 12 point margin is achieved (all age groups).
â¦Skin Checks- All wrestlers will be checked for contagious skin conditions. Wrestlers with a contagious skin condition will not be allowed to compete unless they have a current doctor’s excuse stating they are under treatment and that they are not contagious as of a specific date and are cleared to wrestle. Tournament officials reserve the right to refuse participation to any questionable cases.
â¦A minimum of 20 minutes- must be allowed between a wrestlers matches unless agreed upon by the coaches.
Adult Behavior Policy:
At any New Milford Wresting Association event, practice, or competition, any adult who: verbally abuses; attempts to intimidate; is flagrantly rude; or cannot control their language or actions with an official, coach, or NMWA volunteer, shall be asked to leave the NMWA event and property whether the property is owned by NMWA or leased. The adult’s children shall also be removed from the event. By registering for this event, it shall be deemed that all parties understand and agree to this policy.
Coaches Information:
Only current (2021-2022) USA Wrestling Coaches will be allowed on mats. Coaches are required to have their identification visible at all times. Coaches will operate under the USAWCT Code of Conduct

Food & Beverages: Food and Beverages will be available to purchase on site. No Food or Drinks allowed in Gyms.
Directions: From I-84, take Exit 7 (Route 7) North for 8 miles. New Milford High School is on left (across from Candlewood Valley Country Club). Go past high school and turn left onto Larson Road. Gym entrance is on left side of building as you face it. GPS Address is above on header.
Registration Details-
â¦All tournaments require pre-registration. Absolutely NO Walk-ins will be permitted.
â¦Either Club Directors or individual parents will be allowed to pre-register wrestlers depending on how the tournament is set up. Wrestlers who are not club affiliated or are from out-of-state are requested to register online.
â¦Each wrestler’s weight must adequately represent the weight that they will be wrestling come tournament morning. Every wrestler will be required to check-in the morning of the tournament to weigh in and get a skin check.
â¦When weighing-in, each wrestler must weigh-in wearing a competition singlet
â¦Tournament registration fees are $22 for each individual, $15 for 2nd, $10 for any additional family members. All club directors are to collect their wrestler’s registration fees and pay the tournament director the morning of the tournament. Payment should not be made with more than one (1) check. There are NO refunds for no-shows.
â¦Wrestlers who wrestle in more than one bracket will be required to pay an additional $15. Ex. 10U wrestling in both 10U and 12U and Girls Wrestling in both Girls and Boys Brackets
â¦All wrestlers are required to have a current USA Wrestling membership. Wrestlers in need of a card must purchase them online at www.usawmembership.com prior to registering for the tournament, NO EXCEPTIONS
â¦REGISTRATION MAY CLOSE EARLY IF MAXIMUM NUMBER OF REGISTRATIONS IS REACHED.
â¦Spectator admission is $3.00. Admission is free age 12 and under, or if you hold a current USA Coaches card.
