FORMAT 2018 PATRIOTS OPEN:
OPEN DIVISION: open to ANY AND ALL participants, including all college wrestlers (on and off roster), out of college wrestlers, including High School wrestlers, and will be limited to the first 400 registered and PAID wrestlers. The Patriots Open tournament will be double-elimination in 16/24 man brackets. Wrestle to 6 places on up to 14 mats. Losers of semi-finals will wrestle for 3rd place; other consolation wrestlers wrestle to 5th place. The Tournament Director reserves the right to make any modifications to the tournament that they deem relevant to the tournament being run smoothly and in a satisfactory manner.
RULES NCAA rules – standard seven-minute matches with riding time, including all consolation matches.
CHECK-IN ALL Coaches and non-rostered / unattached wrestlers ARE REQUIRED TO CHECK IN and pick up their Team / Competitor packets on Saturday evening, December 8th, at the GMU Field House. Team packets will contain passes / credentials for coaches, wrestlers, trainers and managers and will be available from 6:00 – 9:00 PM. Open mats will be available that same evening from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM on four mats at the GMU Fieldhouse.

PAYMENT ONLINE ONLY!! Registrations and Payments must be made in full at the time of registration. Only emailed scratches made before Sunday, December 2, 2018 will be refunded. Scratched entries ON OR AFTER December 2 WILL NOT be refunded. Streamlined, limited registrations allow us to set up and run the tournament in a way that insures an early end to the tournament, allowing teams to be on their way as early as possible on Sunday afternoon.
$40 per wrestler, ALL entries must be REGISTERED and PAID online via the Patriots Open Wrestling web site by the EXTENDED DEADLINE OF 11:59 PM, Friday, December 7th, 2018. Payments may be made with major credit cards. After registering your wrestlers, please provide seeding information (to seeds@patriotsopenwrestling.com) for any wrestlers that you would like to be considered for a seed. IF YOU HAVEN’T PAID, YOU ARE NOT REGISTERED and won’t be in the brackets for weigh-in.
You must pay your entry fee ONLINE when you register. Any exceptions MUST be approved by Coach Beasley in advance of the 11:59 PM, Friday, December 7th, 2018 deadline.
ADMISSION Admission for all George Mason students and faculty is free with valid and current college ID. General admission is $15 for adults, $5.00 for HS students, pre-HS free. Some seating available, bring folding chairs.

CHANGES Change of Weight Class must be made BEFORE 8:00 PM Saturday, December 8th, 2018. Scratch deadline is Saturday, December 1, 2018. Any one not making their designated weight at Sunday weigh-in will be forfeited
