WRESTLE ON THE RIDGE
K-6 NOVICE DUALS
WHEN: Sunday, January 26
START TIME: 9:00 (Coaches meeting at 8:30)
WEIGH-INS:Honor weigh-in. Any challenges shall be weighed in at time of challenge and must be within 2 lbs of weight class. No challenges shall be considered after once the next dual has started.

ENTRY FEE: $350 per team- Checks made payable to Ram Wrestling Club
Each team will need to supply 1 table volunteer for each dual

WEIGHT: 38, 42, 45, 48, 51, 54, 57, 60, 64, 68, 72, 76, 80, 85, 90, 96, 102, 115, HWT CLASSES (Teams may consist of 22 members; 3 alternatives may be used)
- Rosters to be submitted at coaches’ meeting
ELIGIBILITY: No club or all-star teams.
- Teams should try to fill roster with wrestlers from the same school program. If a team has no wrestler to fill that weight class or only a novice wrestler available, they may fill spot with a wrestler from another area.
- Please note that the spirit of this event is to provide great wrestling opportunities for community-based teams and for novice wrestlers. This is NOT a club dual and NOT an opportunity for experienced wrestlers to get mat time.
Wrestlers must be in grades K-6.
Novice:
- The wrestler has not placed 1st, 2nd or 3rd, in an Open Tournament (this does not include 6&U at an open tournament)
- No Varsity or Club Dual experience
- 3 years or less experience (if this is wrestler’s 1st year, they have 0 years’ experience
Round robin in each pool.
Final round cross over based on record
Tie breakers - head to head 1st, team points 2nd, most pins 3rd, least amount of forfeits 4th.
MATCHES: Matches will be three (3) 1 minute periods.
Overtime will be 1 minute with one 30 second rideout.
6 points for forfeits.
College out of bound rules.
SCORING:Modified PIAA rules. Traditional team scoring: 6=Pin or Forfeit, 5=Tech Fall (15 points), 4=Major (8 points), 3=Win (7 points or less).
EXHIBITIONS:Time permitting, exhibition matches may be done at the conclusion of a dual.
AWARDS: Team Trophy and medals to Winning Team. Medals to second and third place teams.

Kids under 12 and 2 coaches per team are FREE
