Warrior Invite

Info
Welcome to the 2005 Warrior Invitational We are happy to bring you the ninth annual Warrior Invitational! A few years ago we changed the Varsity format towards a Team Tournament format, providing each team the opportunity to wrestle each other team in the Invitational. We hope this format makes the event exciting for the competitors and fans alike. Another goal of the Warrior Invitational is to allow teams to bring their Junior Varsity wrestlers to the same tournament. Our JV format is a 4-person round robin in weight classes based on nearest weight. It is possible, for example to have 4 – 135 weight classes (135A, 135B, 135C, and 135D). There is no seating for the JV brackets. The Waunakee Wrestling Community is trying to build on our traditions in our favorite sport and to that end, we are committed to make continuous improvements to our tournament. Here are some of the things we do to try to make this tournament a great wrestling and fan experience: 1.Custom Warrior Invitational Medals will be given to undefeated Varsity Wrestlers. 2.Custom Warrior Invitational Medals will also be given to first and second place Junior Varsity finishers. 3.Team Results will be announced and each round of the tournament. 4.A Trophy will be awarded to Overall Warrior Varsity Champions. 5.Concession stands offer some unique and very tasty food selections. They also have a variety of drinks. All at reasonable prices. 6.Programs are available complete with: seeding criteria, format descriptions, award descriptions, scoring explanation, names of officials, team profiles and scoring sheets. We welcome your suggestions to help us make continued improvements for the years that follow. Contact Todd Micholic, the Announcers in the Varsity or JV gyms, or Rich Hellenbrand (Waunakee Head Coach). Thank you for coming! Good Luck to all the Wrestlers and Happy Holidays!
