Welcome to the 6th Annual Cheesehead Invitational. Wrestling will start on Friday at 6pm and two rounds will be wrestled. Because the tournament bracketing for the rounds is not based on a twenty team tournament we will be wrestling rounds 4 and 3 listed on the bracket sheets on Friday night. Doors open at 5pm. Saturday wrestling starts at 9am with the doors opening at 8 for the fans. Breakfast can be purchased on site. The cost is $4 and it is a bargain. We will be wrestling rounds 1, 2 and 5 in that order on Saturday. Finals will start at 6pm and we will have four place mats wrestling at the same time. We have 12 state champions scheduled to wrestle, nine rank teams in Wisconsin and two excellent teams from Illinois, Montini and Belvidere. There are twelve state champions and three of them are two-time state champions. There are nine returning Cheesehead champions. New to the tournament this year are Bay Port, Belvidere, Milwaukee Lutheran, Montini, Wilmot, and Winneconne. You will have an opportunity to see some oustanding wrestling over the two day tournament CHANGES Due to a cmmunication overlap there have been some changes in the wrestlers and brackets that involve Racine Park wrestlers. At 130 Mario Morelli was entered as the last seed 16th. At 140 Josh O`Neil has replaced Anthony Azarian with no seeding impact. At 152 Frank Swift had a much improved record and changed the seeds from 14 to 20 and the whole bracket was rebuilt. At 275 Ryan Brown``s record was much improved and changed the seeds from 9 to 20 and the bracket was rebuilt. These changes were made in the best interst of the sretlers in the tournament considering all seeds.
