Confirmation from the school admnistrators is being solicted, and we will update this site if the above information changes. One change is that we plan to wrestle only the first two rounds on Friday evening (Preliminaries and Quarterfinals). We will wrestle the balance of the tournament on Saturday, starting at the same scheduled time, but the finals will likely start about one hour later than scheduled (approximately 5:00 PM on Saturday). >>>>> END OF UPDATE <<<<< Wrestling Coaches and Athletic Directors: Sauk Prairie is excited to host the first two-day Badger Conference Tournament. We hope this event will be an enjoyable experience for your participants, fans, and you, filled with good wrestling and good sportsmanship. We hope the following information will answer any questions you may have, and that you will forward it to your fans, administrators, and local media. Seeding Meeting: Wednesday, February 4th at 7:00 p.m. in Room 60 at Sauk Prairie High School. Weigh - Ins: Friday, February 6th at 5:30 p.m. on the stage of the Leahy Theater at Sauk Prairie High School. Coaches Meeting (if necessary) following the weigh-in in Room 60. Friday Evening Wrestling beginning at 6:30 Preliminaries Quarterfinals First and Second Round Wrestlebacks as needed There will be breaks as needed - We hope to finish approximately 9:30 p.m. Weigh - Ins: Saturday, February 7th at 9:00 a.m. One Pound Allowance Saturday Morning Wrestling beginning at 10:00 a.m. Semifinals and Third Round Wrestlebacks at the same time on two mats Fifth and Seventh Place at the same time on two mats First and Third Place at the same time on two mats, beginning approximately 4:00 p.m. Locker Room Assignments: Your team will be assigned a locker room when you arrive. Please have your wrestlers bring their own towels and locks. Bus Parking: Buses should park in the north parking lot at the north end of the high school. Hospitality Room: There will be a hospitality room in Room 60. This room is intended to be used by coaches, officials, spouses of coaches, and administrators. Concessions: There will be concessions sold in the Commons during the tournament. Medical Care: An athletic trainer will be available. Our EMT squad will be on call. Warm Up Area: There will be a warm-up area in the North Gym. Admission: Single Day Session - Adults $4.00 Students K-12 - $3.00 Final Session: All tickets $3.00 Tickets for both days can be purchased Friday - Adults $6.00 Students K-12 $4.00 Six cheerleaders will be admitted free only if in uniform Only wrestlers who weigh in will be admitted free ALL others must pay. Video: There will be areas for camera hook-ups. If you wish, a third person who is videotaping may be with you in your corner. Area around the Mats: Please keep your wrestlers who are in uniform, but not competing at the time, and your statisticians away from the mat area. This alleviates any spectator problems and allows cheerleaders access to the areas. We all know what the 2 or 3 person rule in the corner is.
