Dear North Shore Conference Tournament Coaches: Congratulations coaches on your seasons up to this point. Hopefully a successful Conference Tournament will propel your wrestlers to achieve their end of season goals. This letter will inform/remind you all on rules agreed upon at last years meeting and other procedures for the 2007 Conference Tournament. We are asking all coaches to also send a team picture and information on your varsity team asap to either Tim Schermetzler or Jim Liska (Nicolet Athletic Director). Please include: Varsity wrester names, grade, and record. Also indicate their place in conference last year and if they qualified for the State Tournament. Send in current year dual meet record, in conference and all together. Please make sure to fill out all necessary information on www.trackwrestling.com before the deadline. If emergency changes must be made, please email the changes to me as soon as possible at scherme4@uwm.edu. Below you will find the itinerary for the tournament and other information imperative for the success of our tournament. Tournament itinerary: Weigh-ins 8:00-9:00 Coaches Meeting 9:00 Round One 10:00 will run directly into Round Two (Round two will include both championship and wrestle-back matches) **30 Minute Lunch Break** (We hope to be at break by 2:00) Round Three (Only Wrestle-backs) **After Round Three we will break down to 2 mats** Round Four (3rd and 5th place matches) **After Round Four we will break down to one mat for the championship matches ** Round Five (Championship matches) These matches will start no earlier than 5:00 to allow fans to come for the finals. Individual Awards will be presented after the championship matches (103 after 112, 112 after 119, etc) Team and additional awards will be awarded at completion of the finals matches. We hope to be wrapping up the tournament by 7:00. A coaches hospitality room will be set up during the day. Athletic training staff will be in attendance throughout the duration of the tournament. Due to limited space in the gym we ask all wrestlers and fans to keep coolers and other food in the cafeteria were we will have the concessions set up. Conference Tournament shirts will be available for sale as well. The wrestlers will have access to locker room facilities throughout the tournament. Limited locker space is available but wrestlers are encouraged to bring a lock to use. A room will be available to lock bags in for the day but wrestlers will not have access to the room during the tournament. The room will be open and staffed from 9-10 after weigh-ins and for thirty minutes at the conclusion of the tournament. Again we would like to limit the amount of bags in the gym to allow more space for the coaches, wrestlers, and fans. A warm-up room will be set up adjacent to the gym, only wrestlers who are in the hole will be allowed on the gym floor. Also limit your mat side personnel to three individuals only. Your cooperation with these items will ensure an effective, safe, and enjoyable tournament for all. Thank you for your hard work so far this season.
