September 17, 2007 Dear Athletic Directors and Wrestling Coaches: Kromrey Middle School is please to be hosting the Middleton wrestling tournament on Saturday, December 8th, 2007. The following should give you the information needed to participate in this great opportunity for kids. This will be a four man bracket tournament set up by weight. Winners will be determined by best record. All participants will receive a medal. Champions will also receive their bracket chart. Any student, whose weight is in question, will be weighed at the tournament. Sixth graders are invited to this tournament and will wrestle by weight. Please send any and all correspondence to Bill Deno at the address above. In order to ensure that the tournament is filled we are asking that ALL registration and fees meet or beat the DEADLINE of FRIDAY, OCTOBER 26TH, 2007. Page two includes behavior expectations, maps and other information that should be shared with your wrestling community. The registration form is included for you. We will be using www.trackwrestling.com to enroll and track the wrestlers. You will be receiving log-in information from the website. If you don?t, please call me. Here is a checklist for you to keep as the tournament approaches. o Registration and $85.00 entry fee ** paid by October 26, 2007 **entry fee will help pay for medals, supervision and officials o Secure transportation to KMS for ETA of 8:00 a.m. for check-in. o Locate enough supervision for athletes while coaches are in an 8:30 a.m. meeting. o Re-weigh wrestlers the week of December 3rd and update trackwrestling with any changes by Dec. 6th. o Rosters, Grade FAXED to 608-831-8388 by Tuesday, December 4th. Brackets will be checked that evening. o Trackwrestling will be used for late scratches and additions up to the meet time. Sincerely, Bill Deno Associate Principal RESPONSIBLE BEHAVIOR EXPECTATIONS We will be sharing locker rooms so space will be limited. A supervised hallway and rooms will be available for team gear. Cheerleaders will not be invited but may attend as spectators. Athletes should bring their own towel and lock. Kromrey is not responsible for lost or stolen property. Each individual school will be responsible for their own equipment. Athletes and families must sit in the bleachers during competition. Two coaches will be allowed in the corners. Coaches will be required to wear IDs during the meet. IDs will be distributed at the 8:30 a.m. coaches meeting. If there are problems during the tournament, we will stop the matches until the tournament rules are followed. Admission will be $3.00 for adults and students. Children 10 and under are free. Concession stand will be open during the tournament. NO food or drink will be allowed in the gym. Please have people follow this expectation. We had quite a mess last year. Exception will be made for participants using water bottles. Parking is very tight. Please encourage carpooling. We were lucky having no snow last year.
