The 2008 Oconto Wrestling Tournament is approaching quickly. The tournament will keep the same format it had the last several years. The brackets are set up for a 6-person round robin. We?ll try to ?seed? the best wrestlers so they wrestle in the later rounds. There are a few things that you should be aware of before the tournament begins. Weigh-ins will begin at 8:30 A.M., and wrestling will begin at 10:00 A.M. We will set up two mats; typically rounds move too fast to warrant the use of three mats. If the tournament runs smoothly and it will; we end around 3:30 P.M. We will also have a concession stand available for your wrestlers and fans. Coaches will be provided with a hospitality room compliments of the Oconto Youth Wrestling Club. Hopefully you have received the e-mail with the information on ?how to? enter your line up on the website www.trackwrestling.com . Please start entering line-ups as soon as possible this week (changes will be allowed on Saturday morning). Our AD has contacted your school already, if you have not faxed or e-mailed him your line-up, please do so soon or e-mail me (cisarort@oconto.k12.wi.us). We need to put together a program with that information and I can also use it to assist you in entering your line up if you are experiencing difficulties. ? Teams in this year?s tournament are: Crandon, Oconto, Shiocton, Spencer, Tomahawk, and Wabeno. ? If you are interested in bringing your JV wrestlers, we have matched up some wrestlers in the past; please e-mail me weights of your extra as I can inform the other teams as to whether or not they would have any matches. If any schools wrestle on Friday night, please contact me as soon as possible so I can let the other schools know.
