Arcadia Invite Wrestling Tournament December 19th, 2009 This is a traditional 8 man bracket wrestling tournament. Arcadia, Cameron, Flambeau, Indee/Gilm, Loyal, Onalaska, Whitehall, & Stanley Boyd-Thorpe ORIGINAL Format will have full wrestle back to 3rd, 5th, & 7th place matches (vs. elimination after two losses). This would give all wrestlers 3 and 4 matches on the day. ***We hope to fill empty weight classes with JV kids. –(With coach’s input for appropriate kids for Varsity) I WILL put this tourney on trackwrestling to have each team enter roster info. ---And see where the extra kids are needed. ( I will contact you with weights we need to fill using JV’s) ****WE WILL ALSO HOST A JV 4 MAN ROUND ROBIN TRNY (bring everybody) We will wrestle on three mats throughout the day, -a 4th mat used for JV off to the side and feature FINALS by itself on one mat at 4:30pm. 8:30 Weigh-in 8:45 Coaches Meeting 9:45 First Round (3 mats) 11:15 Second Round (3 mats) 12:30 LUNCH BREAK (full concessions, and coaches room lunch will be served) 1:15 Third Round (incl. 7th place on 3 mats) 3:00 Fourth Round (3rd & 5th on 2 mats) 4:30 FINALS (One Mat) -(awards would be given out between weight classes following the next match’s completion) ***Medals through 3rd place. -Charts for champions. ***Champion and Runner Up Team Trophies My goal is to get back to the traditional 8 man chart format, as well as attempt to give as many matches as we can to each individual to gain meaningful experience through competitive matches. ALSO to HIGHLIGHT a “FINALS” on one center mat to draw attention only to that match, without the distraction of other placement matches going on at the same time. WE WILL ALSO HOST A JV 4 MAN ROUND ROBIN TRNY – to help us prepare… -(PLEASE LIST ALL JV’S w/weight class ON AN EMAIL to help us get enough medals, etc.) Please email me with input on the JV opportunity… Can you bring kids?
