The Holmen Duals will take place on Saturday, December, 7, 2013 at Holmen High School. This is a six-team multi-dual tournament where each team will wrestle five duals. PARTICIPATING TEAMS: Forest City, IA (FC) -- Fort Atkinson, WI (FA) -- Holmen, WI (HO) -- Lancaster, WI (LC)-- Weston/Ithaca, WI (WI)-- West Salem/Bangor, WI (WB) WEIGH-INS: Weigh-ins and skin checks will be conducted by team in the Fine Arts Center (FAC) starting at 8:00 a.m. Only wrestlers who are participating in the Varsity Duals will weigh in during this time. Remember, an athlete can only wrestle at the weight they weigh in at and one weight above. If you wish to enter more than 14 wrestlers into the Varsity dual tournament, that is acceptable. However, those wrestlers will not be able to compete in the JV Scramble that is going on in the same gymnasium. It may be possible to find exhibition matches for wrestlers who are in the Varsity Duals but not wrestling each round, but that will depend on what weights teams have extras. Athletes need to be entered into Trackwrestling by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, December 6. FORMAT: The Varsity Duals will use the random draw to determine the start of the duals. Each subsequent dual will begin at one weight class higher than the previous round. The periods will be 2-2-2. The varsity competition will be held on mats 1, 2, and 3. CONCESSIONS: Will be available in the commons throughout the day. LOCKER ROOMS: Locker Rooms will be provided for team use but will not be locked throughout the day. You are responsible for lost and stolen items. ATHLETIC TRAINER: There will be an athletic trainer on site. AWARDS: Awards will be handed out to wrestlers in the Varsity competition that wrestle ALL 5 duals and remain undefeated on the day (not including any exhibition matches).
