January 30, 2010 PARTICIPATING TEAMS: Blair-Taylor, Cochrane-Fountain City, Durand, Arcadia Varsity Reserve, Independence/Gilmanton, Melrose-Mindoro/G-E-T Varsity Reserve, Eau Claire North, Necedah, Onalaska Luther, Royall, Osseo-Fairchild/Augusta/Altoona, Stanley-Boyd, Westby, Whitehall, and Wisconsin Rapids Varsity Reserve. SCHEDULE: 8:00 Weigh-In 8:30 - 10:00 Coaches Meeting 10:00 - 2:00 Preliminaries & First-Round 2:00 ? 3:45 1st Round Consolation 3:45 - 5:15 Semi-Finals, 2nd Round Consolation 5:15 ? 6:00 Consolation Semi-Finals 6:00 - 8:00 Finals, 3rd, and 5th Place Matches The above schedule is an approximate timetable. I am asking teams to show up promptly for weigh-ins at 8:00 and I would like to begin seeding at 8:30 for all classes that have made weight by that time. Please bring all your JV wrestlers to weigh-in and wrestle, but we will only fill brackets to 16 wrestlers. Wrestling will be straight through on 3 mats and we anticipate the rounds will go faster than indicated. FORMAT: 16-man bracket with complete wrestle-backs to 3rd from the quarterfinals. First round losers can only wrestle-back to consolation champion. If there are only 9 wrestlers in a weight class then there will be a complete wrestle-back to 3rd. Weight classes will only be filled with JV wrestlers up to 16 participants. This format will eliminate any wrestler from having the possibility of having more than five matches in a day. AWARDS: Team trophies for 1st and 2nd. Individual medals for 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, and Consolation Champion. Most Valuable Wrestler Award and Most Pins in Least Time. SEEDING INFORMATION: We will be using www.trackwrestling.com to enter rosters, seed the tournament, and administer the tournament. ENTRY FEE: Please send or bring your entry fee of $135, if it has not already been sent. Roster changes and record updates can be changed up to the deadline or made at the seeding meeting.
