SEEDING: Seeding will take place at Kickapoo High School @ 6:00 PM on February 1, 2012.
Information must be submitted on track wrestling by 12:00 PM Monday, January 30,
2012. No more than six in a weight class will be seeded. If you compete on Friday February 3,
2012 please contact us by email.
WEIGH-IN TIMES: 9:00 A.M in locker room.

Awards Ceremony will take place during Round 6. For example 106 pound awards will be given
after the 113 pound championship match is over
DRESSING ROOMS: Will be unlocked during competition. Waynesville High School will not
be responsible for lost or stolen items.
FOOD/DRINK: Please don?t take food and drink on the gym floor.

GENERAL INFORMATION (Continued)
WEIGHT CLASSES: 106,113,120,126,132,138,145,152,160,170,182,195,220,285. There will be a 2 pound growth allowance for each weight class as of January 15, 2012 per MSHSAA rules.
WEIGHT ALLOWANCE: Contact the Tournament Director as soon as possible if your team
is competing on Friday, February 3, 2012. At this time there will be no weight allowance unless
a team wrestles on Friday, February 3, 2012 and has given the Tournament Director forty-eight
hour notification.
FORMAT: We will use NFHS Rules in Conjunction with MSHSAA rules.
We will use 8 man brackets with pigtails (when necessary) and will place the top 4 wrestlers. Championship periods will be 2-2-2 and consolation periods will be 1-2-2. We will use this format for both the Varsity and junior varsity tournament.

SEEDING CRITERIA
A maximum of 6 wrestlers will be seeded.
The following seeding criteria will be used:
1. Head to Head
2. Common Opponents
3. Multiple State Champion at any weight class.
4. Returning State Champion in the same weight class.
5. Returning State Champion at any weight class.
6. Returning State Medalist at the same weight class.
7. Returning State Medalist at any weight class.
8. Returning Ozark Conference Champion at same weight class.
9. Returning Ozark Conference Champion at any weight class.
10. Returning State Qualifier at same weight class.
11. Returning State Qualifier at any weight class.
12. Returning Ozark Conference Medalist at same weight class.
13. Returning Ozark Conference Medalist at any weight class.

We will use head ? to ? head competition results whenever they are applicable.
If it is noted that a wrestler defeated another wrestler during the current season, that information will be used.
In order to seed each wrestler correctly, please provide any junior varsity / varsity accomplishments that the wrestler has earned, but please do not write in subjective comments such as: good wrestler, tough competitor, etc. Only junior varsity / varsity accomplishments will be used for seeding purposes and only a maximum of 6 wrestlers in each weight class will be seeded. The other 3 wrestlers in each weight class will be randomly drawn into a pool.

Wrestlers will obtain 2 points for a bye after they win in the next round on the championship side. Wrestlers will obtain 1 point for a bye after they win in the next round on the consolation side. No points will be earned for a bye if the wrestler loses in the next round.
