Manawa Wolves Invitational Wrestling Tournament January 15, 2011 Teams Entered: Athens, Green Bay Preble/East Reserves, Kewaunee, Manawa, Omro, Rosholt, Tri-County/Almond-Bancroft, and Witt.-Birn. Reserves. Line-ups: We will be using TrackWrestling, make sure line-ups are entered as soon as possible. Entry Fee: $150.00 please send to school with line-ups or bring with you the day of the tournament. Timetables: Weigh-Ins 8:30 AM in the wrestling room *There will be a 1# allowance for Saturday* Coaches meeting @ 8:45 Wrestling will start @ 10:00 We plan to take one meal break Tournament format: This will be an individual tournament with seeding done for each weight class using an 8-man double-elimination bracket. We will follow criteria similar to that used for the WIAA Regional Tournament for seeding purposes. I would like to invite each team to bring any extra wrestlers to fill our brackets as unattached individuals. Should we run into a situation where we have more than eight wrestlers we would have a rat-tail for the unattached wrestlers. Each extra wrestler will require an additional $10.00 entry fee, similar to what we did last year. Officials: Chuck Dallman, Dave Murphy, and Phil Ducat Miscellaneous: Teams will be assigned a locker room upon arrival. Teams should furnish their own towels. Food and drink should be consumed in the commons. The Manawa Youth Wrestling Club will be running concessions throughout the day. No glass containers, please! Ticket Prices: Adults-$5.00, Students $3.00. Ticket is good for all day. Awards: Individual medals, first-third in each weight class. Team trophies will be awarded to top two teams. Little Wolf Jr/Sr High will be having a full week of Cancer Awareness events which will culminate with the drawing for a flat screen TV on Saturday at the Manawa Invitational Wrestling Tournament!
