Join us as Team Alabama show cases the best talent in the state at Hoover High School. Wrestlers will be competing for the coveted ?State Champion Title?.
Seeding: There will be a seeding meeting will be held on January 29th at a location to be determined. All coaches are
responsible for being in attendance to voice their opinion on seeding placements. There will be no changes made to the
seeding after this meeting. There are no wrestle backs.
Requirements: A wrestler must be a resident of the state of Alabama and have must competed in 1 tournament at the
weight he is registering at. Furthermore the wrestler must have competed in at least 3 Team Alabama USA tournaments.
Weigh Ins: All wrestlers will be allowed a 1lb allowance and must weigh in wearing a competition singlet.
Registration: All registration will be done online at trackwrestling.com $17.00 entry fee
All State Champions will have the opportunity in participating in the ?Walk of Champions? to be held at the Alabama
High School State Tournament .
This tournament will also be a qualifier for the Southeastern Elementary Duals Tournament to be held at the Pete Hanna
Center (Samford University) on March 24th&25th ,2012.

Beginner status is defined as 1st year USA cardholder. Any child who has competed prior to the 2011-2012 season will not be allowed to register.

• K-2:
• Weigh-in: 6:30 -7:30 am
• Wrestling Begins: 8:00am to 10:00 am
• Weights: 40, 45, 50, 55, 60, 65, 70, 75, 90
• 3-4:
• Registration and Weigh-in: 9:00am-10:00am
• Wrestling Begins: 10:30am to 12:30 pm
• Weights: 50, 55, 60, 65, 70, 75, 80, 87, 95, 103, 112, 120, 140
• 5-6:
• Registration and Weigh-in: 11:30am-12:30
• Wrestling Begins: 1pm to 3:30pm
• Weights: 60, 65, 70, 75, 80, 85, 90, 95, 100, 105, 112, 120, 130, 140, 165, 180, 205
• Finals:
• State Finals - Announcements: 4:00pm
• Competition gym (2 mats Rookie and 2 mats Championship ran simultaneously)
• State Championship Finals Wrestling

The foundation of the scoring format was taken from the NFHS 2011-2012 Wrestling Rules Book, which guides the Alabama HS Wrestling along with most states HS wrestling. Small modifications were made for the smaller brackets.
