WELCOME to the 2013 EASTERN KANSAS LEAGUE WRESTLING TOURNAMENT hosted by the Blue Valley West Jaguars! Varsity Division Sessions: 10:00am Championship quarter finals on 3 mats Championship semi-finals on 2 mats and first round consolation on 1 mat (Consolation matches will be moved to all 3 mats after the championship semis are completed) Lunch Break: 30 minute lunch break following the conclusion of the am session. (approximately 12:30pm) 1:15pm Consolation semi-finals on 3 mats 3rd, 5th, and 7th place matches on 3 mats 3:15pm Finals set-up 3:30pm Finals introductions Championship finals on 1 mat The medal presentation for each weight class will be at the conclusion of the preceding weight class. Note: All times are estimates and subject to change based on the progress of the tournament. We will run ahead of schedule if we get ahead. Tournament Format: Eight-man brackets will be used and we will wrestle out to eighth place with placing points being earned all the way out to 8th place. Awards: Team trophy will be awarded to the top team and medals will be awarded to the top three (3) individual finishers in each weight class. The officials for the tournament are: Varsity: Angelo Giacolone, Brett Waggoneer and Carl Owczarzak. JV: Jared Eller, Kevin Reddick and Alex Meisch. Admission for each day is $6.00 for Adults and $4.00 for Students. EKL Passes will be honored. Brackets will be posted for you to follow the progress of the wrestlers.
