IOWA SUPER PEE WEE STATE WRESTLING TOURNAMENT DEADLINE MIDNIGHT MARCH 1 SANCTIONED BY THE IOWA AMATEUR ATHLETIC UNION MARCH 6 AND 7, 2010 YOUNG ARENA 125 COMMERCIAL ST WATERLOO IOWA Wrestling starting time is 9:00 AM each day and wrestling will continue until that grade is completed. The doors to Young Arena will open at 8:00 AM each day. THIS IS AN IOWA ASSOCIATION INDIVIDUAL CHAMPIONSHIP OPEN TO IOWA RESIDENTS ONLY DIVISIONS: 1) Kindergarten - If your 8th birthday is in 2010 you must move to next age group. 2) 1st Grade- If your 9th birthday is in 2010 you must move to next age group. 3) 2nd Grade- If your 10th birthday is in 2010 you are ineligible to wrestle in the Super PeeWee State Tournament. Wrestlers are allowed to enter only one age division and one weight class. You can move up one age group or one weight class with a parent`s consent. Grade in school is primary determinant of division. Age can move you up a division but not down. ENTRY: Entry fee for advance registration is $25 with no refunds. All wrestlers must register online through WWW.TRACKWRESTLING.COM by midnight on Monday, March 1, 2010. Wrestlers not registered online by this deadline will need to enter at the door and pay the $40 walk in rate. Prior to registering online wrestlers will need to obtain a 2010 AAU card online at WWW.AAUSPORTS.ORG for $12. Those entering at the door must have an AAU card prior to arrival. AAU cards are only sold online and cannot be purchased at the door. REQUIRED DOCUMENTS: You will be required to bring to weigh ins a copy of your birth certificate AND proof of grade. Examples of proof of grade are: class composite picture, letter on school letterhead, report card or school ID. Be sure that which ever of these items you chose to submit as proof of grade has the following 4 items: 1) current school year date 2) current grade 3) students name 4) name of school. WEIGHT CLASSES: All wrestlers must weigh in with a singlet or competition clothing. This is a ONE TIME WEIGH IN. Kindergarten: 38, 40, 42, 44, 46, 48, 50, 52, 55, 61, 70, HWT 1st Grade: 42, 44, 46, 48, 50, 52,54, 56, 58, 61, 65, 71, 80, 92, HWT 2nd Grade: 46, 48, 50, 52, 54, 56, 58, 60, 62, 64, 66, 68, 70, 75, 80, 87, 100, 115, HWT Published weights are the upper limit of each weight class. No check scale. Match length is 1-1-1. Awards: Top 8 earn medals & STATE CHAMPS ALSO EARN A STATE CHAMPION SWEATSHIRT BRACKETING: Brackets will be determined by random draw: 4-man round robin, 8-man, 16-man, 32-man brackets. We will wrestle for a true 3rd, 5th, & 7th place.
