Blossom Valley Athletic League Varsity Wrestling Championships February 19, 2011 Overfelt High School All timelines and pertinent information for the BVAL Varsity Wrestling Championships Team line up?s will be submitted to www.trackwrestling.com. All teams must submit team rosters online Wednesday, February 9,2011 before 7:00 PM. Any changes after this time will need to be emailed to Mark Delgado at delgadom@esuhsd.org. Enter head-to-head criteria Wednesday, February 16th at 7:01 PM until 7:00 PM Thursday, February 17th. Seeding Meeting: Friday, February 11th @ 5:30 PM in room L-1. Pre-seeding will be done prior to the meeting. Seeding Criteria: A Head-to-Head Current Season B State Place Previous Season C Section Place Previous Season D Tournament placing current record E Overall record current season F BVAL Placing Previous Season G Coaches? Vote Weigh In?s: Mini Gym at 7:00 AM. No Weight Allowance (CIF + 2 lbs, 105, 114, etc.) Teams will be weighed in on a first come basis. No coaches will be allowed in the weigh in area. Female wrestlers will be weighed in the wrestling room. Coaches Meeting: Coaches meeting will be held at 8:40 AM sharp in room L-1. Two coaches bands per team. An additional band will be given for teams with 8 or more wrestlers. Tournament Format: Begins at 9:00 AM (approximately) 5 mats and 9 officials. Break down to one mat for finals. The gym will be cleared for the finals. Brackets: 16-man bracket with preliminaries (see example at www.trackwrestling.com). Please let tournament director know if your wrestler runs into the ?5-man match? rule, matchmaker will try and catch beforehand. Wrestle-offs will only happen for those wrestlers who run into the 5-man match rule. Date, time and place TBA. Awards: Wrestlers must be in uniform to accept their award and individual medals and certificates. Hospitality: Coaches? luncheon will be provided ? tickets will be enclosed in packet. Miscellaneous: ? Concessions will be provided ? No food, drinks or ice cooler allowed in the gymnasium ? An Athletic Trainer will be available during the tournament ? Showers available upon request ? Stat keepers and managers must pay admission to get into the tournament per BVAL ?
