Welcome to the 12th Annual Verona Area Wrestling Varsity duals & JV round robin tournament on January 10, 2015 at VAHS located at 300 South Richards Street. PARTICIPATING TEAMS >>Varsity Duals: Badger, Cedarburg, Darlington, Monroe, Portage, Slinger, Verona Area, Watertown (new for 2015) Bracket has been set. Varsity Duals: Tournament Format & Match Length - All teams will dual in a predetermined order for round 1, 2 and 3. Rounds 4 and 5 will depend on win loss record in your pool. All Varsity duals matches will be six minutes in length (2-2-2). Wrestling will begin at 9:00 and teams will wrestle approximately every hour and forty-five minutes. Each team will wrestle five duals, with the first three duals with-in the Orange or Black pool competition. Varsity Duals Schedule: Weigh-Ins - (7:55AM-Female)/8:00AM Coaches Meeting - 8:30 1st Round - 9:00 All dual times are approximate. 2nd Round - 10:45 3rd Round - 12:30 then Lunch break 4th Round - 2:45 5th Round - 4:30 **Please note: If we are ahead of schedule, we may start the next round early. Weigh-in & Extra Pound Weigh-ins will begin at 8:00AM sharp with Varsity in the Wrestling Room and JV in the Auxiliary gym behind the curtain. We will use Trackwrestling list for weigh-ins and weigh-in by team. If you have a female wrestlers, please notify Coach Wozniak via email wozniak@skogen.com. Female weigh-ins will take place starting at 7:55AM for Varsity and JV females in the girls locker room. Verona Area has a meet on Friday night so an extra pound will be given. Coaches Meeting The Coaches meeting will begin at 8:30AM in the coaches/officials hospitality room. Locker rooms Locker rooms will be assigned on the day of the tournament. You will be responsible for your own belongings. Verona Area High School will not be responsible for any lost or stolen items. Awards Plaques will be awarded to the 1st and 2nd place varsity teams (WIAA criteria for tiebreaker) Varsity Individual Awards - Champions 5-0 will receive medals.
