Information: For Northern Exposure Wrestling Tournament First, I would like thank you for attending this year?s Northern Exposure Wrestling Tournament. This will be a well run and highly competitive tournament for all who participate. Please remember we are open to suggestions on how to make the tournament bigger and better. We are currently, working at getting as many dual meets as possible for each team. With the maximum being 7 duals. With the number of teams changing we are trying to come up with a ?good? format. You will need to enter all wrestlers by Sunday, December 24, at 4:00pm. Anyone weighing-in must be entered. Weigh-Ins: Thursday ? 8:30 am Friday ? 8:30 am Locker Rooms: Each pool will be designated a locker room. Currently, locker rooms will remain open throughout the day. In the past we?ve had some issues in locker rooms ? so we may lock them during competition. Coaches Meeting: Wednesday, 9:15 am upstairs cafeteria Thursday, 9:15 am upstairs cafeteria Wrestling Begins: Wednesday, 10:00 am Thursday, 10:00 am Spectator Admission: 2 Day Pass = $10.00, Single Day Pass = $7.00, Students 12 and up $3.00 per day Mats: Wednesday - 6 mats will be used for all five rounds. JV matches will be wrestled at the ends of rounds on available mats. We will make an effort to make brackets for JV matches if there would be enough wrestlers. (No awards will be given.) Thursday - 6 mats will be used for all 3 rounds. Officials: Jared Benrud, Bill Cook, Glenn Goessl, Steve Graeber, Russell Lobner, Charles Milliren, David Osterbrink, Cal Tackes, and Bill Trotzer. Training Staff: There will be a certified trainer present during competition. Awards: Gold medals will be given to wrestlers with a 7-0 & 6-0 record. Silver Medals will be given to wrestlers with a 6-1 & 5-1 record. Medals will be awarded to the 1st and 2nd place teams! Each Pool Champion will receive a plaque. There will be an award for the Team Champion. Bus & Fan Parking _ The entrance to the fieldhouse is at the BACK OF THE SCHOOL, the northeast side of the building, the football stadium side. Parents and buses will park in this large lot. Your internet directions will put you at the front of the school ? the wrong side! Use Door 17 to enter the east side of the building. Team Admission All participating wrestlers will get in free. We will provide a certain number of wristbands for coaches, managers, & cheerleaders (in uniform). Number yet to be determined. Concessions The Merrill Wrestling Club will be selling concessions during the entire tournament. It is a great concession stand with a wide variety of food choices; we hope your fans will frequently visit the stand. We do not want coolers in the fieldhouse; we will provide a cooler area for teams and wrestlers. Like all wrestling programs the concession stand is a way to raise funds for the tournament as well as our club. WE DO NOT SUPPORT PARENTS BRINGING IN LARGE COOLERS FOR THEIR TEAM AND PARENTS!
