Michael Lettner Tournament K-5 WRESTLING TOURNAMENT Arcadia Middle School School Friday, March 1, 2013 TrackWrestling Model Format will be used. BENEFITS OF THIS FORMAT • Tournament gets wrestlers 3 matches targeting 1 every ½ hour so parents and wrestlers get in and out. • Wrestlers essentially weigh-in ahead of time by giving their estimated weight during the preregistration for bracketing purposes. • Bracketing is done the night before and will be available on-line so people know their mat number and match numbers ahead of time. • DIVISIONS: K-2 Non-competitive K-1 Competitive 2nd – 3rd Grade 4th – 5th Grade WEIGH-INS : 4:30 – 5:00 pm (Only competitive wrestlers need to weigh in ) Any wrestler that weighs in who is over the weight limit of the weight class, will be ineligible for awards and will only wrestle exhibition matches. Wrestling begins at 5:30 pm. FORMAT: 4 Man Round-Robins (3 or 5 Man Round-Robins may be used if necessary) AWARDS: Medals to all place winners K-2 Non-Competitive yet to be determined ENTRY FEE: $12.00. Registration limit is 160 wrestlers. Registration closes at 10 p.m. on Wednesday, February 27th or earlier. THERE WILL BE NO MAIL IN REGISTRATIONS THIS YEAR! TEAM ENTRY: There will be no team entries this year. ADMISSION: Non-participants - $1.00. Children not in school free. MATCHES: Three one minute periods. Two point near falls only. If a match ends in a tie, a thirty-second sudden death overtime, followed by two 15 second periods and a 15 second ultimate tie-breaker if needed.. Concessions will be sold at the school.
