At the Legacy Events Center in Farmington, Utah December 20-21 Invited Teams American Fork, Bingham, Bountiful, Box Elder, Corner Canyon, Cyprus, Davis, Delta, East, Emery, Evanston, Wy., Hillcrest, Layton, Logan, Lone Peak, Millard, Morgan, Mountain Crest, Mountain View, Murray, North Summit, Northridge, Olympus, Payson, Pleasant Grove, Roy, Riverton, Salem Hills, San Juan, Skyline, South Summit, Viewmont, West Lake Entry Fee Team entry fees are $400.00 (includes varsity and JV) per school, due and payable at the seeding meeting. Please make checks payable to Viewmont Invitational Wrestling Tournament. Extras may be entered into the JV tournament for $15 per wrestler. An `extra` wrestler is a wrestler who wrestles at a weight class where you already have another wrestler. Weight Classifications & Two Pound Weight Allowance Standard NFHS weight classes will be used, with the addition of a 98 pound class. See below for details. Due to the fact that teams entered in the tournament will compete on Wednesday and Thursday, December 18 &19, a two pound weight allowance will be made. (*100, 108, 115, 122, 128, 134, 140, 147, 154, 162, 172, 184, 197, 222, 287) The weight will remain the same for Saturday; there will be no additional allowance as per rule. *A non-scoring weight classification, 98 pounds, will be added for the JV tournament only. Each team may enter one wrestler in this weight class. Line-up Entry Deadline Lineups must be posted online by Wednesday, December 18th at 7:00 P.M. to www.trackwrestling.com. To post your lineup and seeding criteria you will need to go to www.trackwrestling.com and use your assigned username and password that will be sent to you in an email. You will have a separate username and password for the varsity and JV tournaments. Follow these steps: 1.Go to www.trackwrestling.com 2. In the `Event Name` field, type `Viewmont Invitational` and click `GO` next to Quick Search. This will pull up two tournaments, the `Viewmont Invitational Varsity 2013` and the `Viewmont Invitational JV 2013`. Click on the Viewmont Invitational Varsity 2013 and then select as the USER TYPE `Statistician`. You will then enter your assigned username and password. Once finished entering and saving your varsity lineup and seeding criteria, repeat the same process for entering your JV lineup, but of course after selecting the `Viewmont Invitational JV 2013` tournament. Be sure to use the varsity username and password for the varsity tournament and the JV username and password for the JV tournament. These instructions will be repeated in an automated email sent to you from TrackWrestling. Head to Head Matchups Once the clock strikes 7 P.M. on Wednesday the 18th, all the teams` rosters will be available for public viewing. At that point you will be able to login and select which opponents your wrestler has beaten head-to-head. This option will only be open during that 24 hour period between 7 P.M. on Wednesday and 6:59 P.M. on Thursday. Doing this in advance will greatly increase the efficiency of our seeding meeting. The only discussions in the seeding meeting that we should have on head to head matchups should be in the event of an unforseen lineup change of which I am notified by Friday morning. If you have a lineup change between Wednesday and Friday, please email me by Friday morning at 8 A.M. at bripplinger@dsdmail.net. For any other problems, call or text my cell at 435-764-0034. Parking Buses should park in the far northeast corner of the north parking lot. Weigh-in On Friday the weigh-in will begin at 11:30 am and close at noon. They will be conducted at the main arena and will proceed according to NFHS rules. For the Friday weigh-in, teams will be assigned to weigh in with another team with the opposing coaches acting as the officiators. You must use your valid weigh-in sheet assigned by the weight management website. Saturday, the weigh-in will begin at 8:00 am and will be conducted by weight class as indicated by NFHS rules. Seeding/Orientation Meeting The seeding meeting will begin at 11:30 am in the wrestling room. The entrance fee will be collected at this meeting and coaches meal and admittance passes will also be distributed at this time. Each team will be given meal passes for up to four coaches. Please arrange to have a coach in attendance on time at 11:30 am. Lunch will be provided for the coaches at the seeding meeting. Current Utah or Wyoming Activities Assoc. passes will be honored for admission. Cheerleaders in uniform will be admitted free of charge. A reasonable number of team managers and scorekeepers will be admitted without charge. Awards The top eight varsity place winners in each weight class will receive medals. The top two teams will receive trophies. An outstanding wrestler will be named in the lower and upper weights. Each will receive a trophy. In the J.V. tournament the top six place winners will receive medals and the top two teams will receive trophies. Junior Varsity Tournament The J.V. Tournament will run next to the Varsity tournament on the same schedule with the exception of the varsity finals which will run by themselves. Seeding The following will be used for seeding. All wrestlers deserving seeds will be considered based upon the following criteria; others will be drawn. We will have a seeding proposal for each weight when you arrive, any adjustments necessary will be made at the seeding meeting. It is vital that we have your line-up with records no later than Wednesday, Dec. 18th at 7 P.M. 1. Season Record Wins/Season Record Winning Percentage 2.
