Date: 12/7/13 To: Wrestling Coaches From: Brett Swope Wrestling Coach Central High School Subject: Central JV/Exhibition Wrestling Tournament The Central JV/Exhibition Wrestling Tournament will be held, Saturday, December 7, 2013 at 9:00 AM. The Coaches Meeting will be at 7:30 AM in Room 123. It is important that you be on time so we can start the tournament promptly at 9:00 AM. We will wrestle a 4 Man Round Robin Tournament so that each wrestler can get 3 matches. The NFHS Wrestling Rules Book only permits the use of 14 approved wt. classes for all high school wrestling competitions. WRESTLERS WILL BE GROUPED BY THEIR ELIGIBLE WEIGHT CLASS ONLY. (There may be multiple brackets per weight.) Coaches- Have the option to bump a wrestler up to higher weight class in order to give them more matches. By bumping a wrestler, keep in mind this may alter their wt class eligibility later in the season. Please Note: All wrestlers will be bracketed into 4 Man or 6 Man Robin Round (may divide into two 3 man pools w/ championship match 1vs1, 2vs2, 3vs3) ALL WRESTLERS MUST BE ENTERED IN TRACKWRESTLING BY FRIDAY at 7PM. Weigh-Ins: Weigh-Ins 7:00 AM ? 8:00 AM Please bring NWCA weigh in sheets only, officials will weigh-in entire team at one time. Entry Fee: $150.00 due on or before December 1, 2013 Admission: $3.00-Students, $5.00-Adults Food will be provided for the coaches. Concessions will also be available. ALL COOLERS-FOOD-DRINKS MUST BE KEPT IN THE CAFETERIA AREA. Awards: Medals will be awarded to the top 2 place winners in each pool. TEAM SCORES WILL NOT BE KEPT. Bring all of your JV Wrestlers. Please keep in mind the intent of this early season wrestling tournament. If you have 2 wrestlers in a weight class, we will TRY separate them in the bracket. However, all wrestlers may compete for a medal. Each wrestler will be guaranteed 3 matches.
