Written by Ben Wanagat Thursday November 3rd 2011 USA Tourney: 2011 USA WRESTLING TOURNAMENT Alex City Youth Invitational Tournament 2011 Benjamin Russell High School, 225 Heard Blvd, Alexander City AL 35010 Google Map MANDATORY PRE-REGISTRATION NOTE: Wrestlers may register to compete in two weight classes and beginners may also choose to compete in the open tournament HOWEVER, if you register the wrestler in two different weight classes YOU must do so in the SAME TRANSACTION through trackwrestling. If you register your wrestler for one weight class and then pay for it and close it out and then go back into registration the track system will not allow you to re-register. ALSO, wrestlers competing in two weight classes or beginner/open division will be allowed 5 minutes rest between matches.Wrestlers may only wrestle in two brackets. Except for K-2 born 9/1/05 – 12/31/06, 3rd – 4th born 6/1/03 – 8/31/03, 5th – 6th born 1/1/01 – 8/31/03. These wrestlers can not wrestle up due to USAW insurance regulations. Any wrestler who fails to pre-register will not be able to compete in the tournament. There will be NO manual registrations allowed on Tournament Saturday. Registration DEADLINE: Friday December 9th at 10:00 am Pre-Register Now! SATELLITE WEIGH-IN NOTE: Make sure the wrestlers are grouped by age division on weigh in sheet. We encourage and fully expect our coaches and club representatives to demonstrate integrity in the weigh-in process. Each Club will weigh in their wrestlers on Thursday night after practice or by Friday before the 10:00 am deadline. The Wrestler’s weight will be written on his left arm by a coach or club representative. The coach will then email the official weigh-in document to the Tournament Director and Team Alabama Youth Director by the 10:00 am deadline on Friday night. The Tournament Director will match the Club Weigh-in Document to the Trackwrestling Pre-Registration Data to ensure all wrestlers are in the correct bracket. The wrestle-back format will be used to determine a true second place finish. Coaches must maintain a visible USA Card to be allowed on the mats and in the hospitality room. Only two coaches are allowed in the corner during a match.
