COC JUNIOR HIGH TOURNAMENT 2013 Date: RESCHEDULED WED. DEC 18TH. Times: Weigh-ins will be conducted by officials - 3 pm. Coaches meeting at 4, wrestling starting at 4:30 (all this is tentative as the ADs finalize) Place: Branson Junior High School Teams: Branson, Carthage (unable to attend), Neosho, Nixa, Ozark, Republic, Webb City, Willard Weights: 75, 80, 85, 90, 95, 100, 105, 110, 115, 120, 125, 130, 135, 142, 150, 165, 180, 195, 210, 225, 285 Team Information 1. Weights will be submitted via trackwrestling.com. 2. Usernames, passwords and directions will be sent out no later than Monday, December 9th. 3. Wrestlers must be entered by Thursday evening Dec. 12th at 9 pm. There will be no changes after the deadline. 4. ALL WRESTLERS MUST WEIGH IN ON SITE SATURDAY MORNING! 4. Based on number of entries, each weight class will be subdivided. 5. For team placement scoring, each school must designate one A wrestler and one B wrestler, who will be eligible to accumulate team/placement points in the A or B bracket. Only those designated wrestlers will be awarded placement points, no matter in which bracket they wrestle. Teams with 3 wrestlers in one weight must designate which is the A, the B, and the C wrestler. C brackets will be awarded no placement team points. Tournament Information TOURNAMENT MODIFACTION 1. Wrestlers will be in an 8 man bracket with Full wrestle backs to placing in 8th place, A pool and B pool. THERE WILL BE NO C BRACKET THIS SEASON DUE TO TIME CONSTRAINTS IN TRYING TO FINISH THIS TOURNAMENT ON A SCHOOL NIGHT. 1. Tournament format will be an 8 man bracket with two pools of four. 2. Each wrestler will wrestle 3 matches in their pool. 3. The winner of pool A will cross bracket with the 2nd place finisher of pool B in a semifinal round. The winner of pool B will cross bracket with the 2nd place finisher of pool A in the other semifinal. 4. Winners of semifinal matches will wrestle for the championship, and the losers of the semis will wrestle for 3rd and 4th place. 5. Wrestlers who finished in 3rd and 4th place in pools will cross to wrestle for 5th through 8th place. Scoring 1. Placement points of 16, 14, 12, 10, 8, 6, 4, and 2 will be awarded the 8 finishers in the A brackets. 2. Placement points of 8, 6, 4, and 2 will be awarded the top 4 finishers in the B brackets. 3. No placement points will be awarded to C Bracket finishers. C brackets may be combined across weights, within reason, to provide full brackets. 4. The top three wrestlers in the A bracket will medal. 5. The team earning the most points will be awarded a plaque.
